    National Tile Day – people have been making and enjoying tiles since ancient times.

    National Banana Bread Day – made some just last week. Baking tip: if you use Splenda instead of sugar you get a scone. Surprise!

    Afternoon All. DIL had to come get me to take me to church because the snow is sliding off the roof. I started to shovel it off yesterday, but realized there was more to fall and it would probably come off last night, which it did. So now there Is a 4 foot tall pile of snow behind my car. Hopefully it will melt.

    Our pastor’s 5 year old son announced to him this morning that it was the first day of summer. It is in the 50’s. LOL

      A good Sunday to you, aus! Re the snow behind your car, poking holes in it and/or spreading it out results in a faster melt. Leaving it in a mound will often produce an ice crust and much slower melt.

      Our “maintenance” guys only clean off the sidewalks and the main road on the property. Snow from the road gets stacked in 5-6 foot mounds around the periphery and won’t be melted until late April.
