Day ELEVEN of Presidential recovery.
A PROCLAMATION
This proclamation ends a grave national injustice that has been perpetrated upon the American people over the last four years and begins a process of national reconciliation.
Acting pursuant to the grant of authority in Article II, Section 2, of the Constitution of the United States, I do hereby:
(a) commute the sentences of the following individuals convicted of offenses related to events that occurred at or near the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021, to time served as of January 20, 2025:
[. . .]
(b) grant a full, complete and unconditional pardon to all other individuals convicted of offenses related to events that occurred at or near the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021;

If you’re going live in snow country, make it somewhere picturesque like Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
For the beauty of the earth,
For the glory of the skies,
For the love which from our birth
Over and around us lies—
Lord of all, to Thee we raise,
This our hymn of grateful praise.

Hero LA firefighter faces off with suspected looter

There’s a special place for people who would steal during a time like this. Good on the firefighter!

Looters are lucky that their crime is not a capital offense. If it were and warnings were posted, police and troopers just might be able to shoot her on the spot with few consequences like in the old days.
She likely posted bail and was out before morning.

Good mornin’, and happy Friday eve! Lots of things happening including some not so good. Let’s see the difference in our Sec. of Transportation in action versus his predecessor. I’m pretty sure we’ll see a big difference. Today’s model is the monster of office coffee makers. She’ll be brewing all day. Keep your head on a swivel because people are moving all over the place and carpe’ your coffee!

Good afternoon, Texan! Bunn may not be fancy, but they certainly provide easy making and easy pouring.
Found this happy-to-know news online this morning from a nephrologist who also has a YouTube cooking show…The Cooking Doc….
Myth 4: Coffee is bad for your kidneys.
Good news for coffee lovers—this is false. Moderate coffee consumption is generally safe and may even offer some kidney protection. Studies suggest a potential link between coffee intake and a reduced risk of chronic kidney disease (CKD). For the best results, drink your coffee black.

Love it! I heard someone last night say that we should rename the moon after DJT. Then we could look out at the night sky and see a full Trump! Good mornin, Miss Wee! Coffee’s ready, ma’am

Will anyone ever again be able to play the Trump card game without thinking of President Trump?
What is the Trump Card Game?
Trump is similar to Spades and Bridge, which isn’t surprising when you consider they are all fine examples of trick-taking games. But Trump is quite unique in a few areas, which we’ll talk more about in a moment.
The game is best played with four or five people, but it can be played with just three. Deal out all the cards till everyone has an equal amount. Players should then look at their cards and decide what their unique trump suit will be.
This is what makes the Trump card game unique. Each player will decide their own trump suit and use it for the rest of the game. Once players have decided on their trump suit, they’ll put a card (of that suit) down in front of them.
Players then take a few cards from their hands and pass them to the player on their left. The lead player will then start the first trick by putting down one of their cards. Players must follow that suit if they can, but if they don’t have a card in the lead suit, they can play a trump.
But because everyone’s trump suit will be unique to them, they could easily win a trick with what appears to be a low card. We’ll discuss how this works in the rules section below. But this should give you a general idea of how the Trump card game is played. https://bargames101.com/trump-card-game/

PERFECT! The original STAR TREK was my favorite show. Never missed an episode though the sequels were of no interest.

Mornin’ All. Its is still dark here. Had to get up early
It is about 19* and may get up over freezing today. Tomorrow is supposed to be even warmer and rain and then snow. We may get somewhere between a foot and two feet. I’m glad I have all my errands done.
Had the family over for dinner last night. We finally got to all sit at the same table, something we couldn’t do in the other apartment. And, the baby was so entertaining. It was really fun.
Well, hope your day is nice and your weather is too.

National Hot Tea Month – Been especially necessary these last few weeks when it has been so cold outside. Warms my hands, too.
National Croissant Da – these are nice when fresh and picked up from a bakery. Not impressed by the grocery store ones

Morning czarina! A hot tea and a croissant sounds good. Still cool here, but above freezing.

Yes, hot tea can be just the thing, especially in the winter.
I like fresh croissants, but not the grocery store ones.

And some ginger/peach tea? Thanks!
