   I thought Gavin wasn’t invited. I figured he would show up anyway for a photo op.

   I am watching Trump talking to that LA mayor. She keeps saying “blah, blah, blah” and he says, “no, they should start immediately” and she says “the city will come in and clean off the lots” and Trump said, “no, let the people do it.” Trump says “it should start right away” and she says “but, they have to be safe.” She is trying to put up roadblocks to everything. I have a feeling Trump isn’t going to allow it.

   I watched it. Trump sounds positive many things can be overcome, but laws and agencies talked with enforcing those laws are not going to just be overruled. “Safe” will hold up a lot of actions when the State Dept of Health has to inspect every lot and take samples for testing to assure the dirt and debris does not have asbestos, or DDT or something hazardous so it cannot be disturbed except by professionals, and there goes 18 months…

   The citizens of CA have painted themselves into this corner by passing a bunch of restrictive laws, they are now stuck with. They have allowed fringe people to eat away at common sense.

   Of course SCOTUS recently ruled that agencies cannot just make up rules to be followed based on their whims (Chevron I think it was, but also environmental rules).
