Good mornin’, and Happy Monday, kids! Now what do we do since the oldest living POTUS is actually the one in office? twenty-one days and counting. Here’s a vintage model that looks somewhat like many of our family fridge’s or carpet from a couple years ago! Keep your head on a swivel and Carpe’ your coffee!

We had the orange in our first house…. it was horrid….

We had the gold in one apartment that I lived in. It always looked dirty.

Ours was orange. And, get this, my mother had that crap put over lovely hardwood floors. Had a floor to ceiling fireplace torn out, it had marble, with pedestal columns supporting the mantle and framing around an etched mirror above, and one of those cast iron covers with deer, or some scene like that molded in it. Tall ceilings, beautiful moldings, all torn out, for carpet, paneling, and drop ceilings.
The sixties, or maybe early seventies. Apparently if you had good taste they shot you or something. The beautiful old house was destroyed in a matter of weeks.

It’s sad isn’t it, to see a lovely older home destroyed that way. Many of them were turned into muti-unit rentals, an even worse fate.
To be fair, older home fireplaces were sometimes heat vents and the chimneys themselves in a poor state and costly to repair. Older hardwood floors were high maintenance compared to carpet, and not as child friendly.
Lowered ceilings? I never saw a real reason for them, since most are a simple framework, and can become hazardous during fires.

One thing I do NOT miss in old houses – this. As a child, I wore a permanent grid on the bottom of one foot for about a year or two.

Yes, we had one in the house. Also a gas stove at my dad’s business. Apparently I ell into it as a toddler and had bad burns and a grid pattern for a year or two also.

I hope this brings about meaningful reform in the DOJ. The questions is “Who will pay?” And how?
Grave harm has been done by the politicizing of the law. Justice seems to wear a blindfold to it’s own misdeeds.
That leaves it to the other branches of government to correct.
