Here’s the one I saved to try Lucille. Maybe for Christmas morning. They have at least three or four recipes for quiche in there using grits with cheese instead of a pie crust. I think I must try this!

This is about the truth. And from working at Home Depot, I can tell you that not only does probably 90% of the population not understand cubic calculations, they irately see no need for it, ever. Not for calculating concrete, blown insulation, etc.
And the more well dressed they are, the less math they know, and the angrier they get at not knowing, and the more they deny any reason to give you the information you need to sell their dumbazzes whatever.
And for good measure, let me say again I wish I had a buck (inflation!) for every time somebody argued with me that 1/16 is bigger than 1/8.
This level of ignorance made it good policy on the Depot’s part that I was not allowed to carry a gun in my apron.

My friend in Florida was in Walmart and asked a worker where the duck sauce was. The worker couldn’t spell duck. She did say she thought English wasn’t her first language.

Car Donation Month
National Chocolate Covered Anything Day – I had a baked item of cappuccino goo covered in chocolate for breakfast. I think I’m done for the day
Barbie and Barbie Backlash Day – While Barbie and Barney aren’t the only toys and television shows of childhood, these two do strike a nerve from time to time. The day permits parents to turn off the annoying cartoons and songs. Parents may insist on a different book to read at bedtime. Put away the noisy toys. If you dare.

Still waiting for the cleanup in the new apartment to be finished. They are hoping for Friday. Meanwhile, in my mind, I have placed all my furniture and am just waiting to measure to be sure it will fit. Waiting is so hard. I keep reminding myself that God is still teaching me patience.
