Good mornin’, and Happy Saturday, kids! As you all can see, lots of names being dropped for slots in the new administration and for the most part, they’re all pretty good. Regardless, we need coffee. Here’s one I found that is actually called Stella. This is what is written – This Stella…….was one of the most widely used models in early 20th century Italy. The coffee sits in a filter just below the knob, and a pipe pushes water up through the grounds and down the spout. Keep your head on a swivel and Carpe your coffee!

Mornin’ Tex! That coffee maker must be from Italy. The word “stella” means “star” in Italian.

Good day, Texan. Stella is certainly unusual. Looks like something r2d2 would use when commanded to make coffee for the crew.
Any person, animal or device named Stella reminds me of Frankie’s wonderful 1947 version of “Stella By Starlight.” So I’ll just throw that in here….
Absolutely love his more youthful voice. He was 32 at the time of recording.

It’s a bone-chilling 50* in the HOU this morning. I’m heading to the Hillz shortly, where there have been a couple of mornings just above freezing. See y’all on the other side!

Now we have 3 deer grazing in the field out back, and busy little birds hitting the feeder. Beautiful fall day.
Breakfast was pork schnitzel, eggs and apple nut muffins with an oatmeal crumble topping. I forgot to put sourdough in them, so they lacked the usual zing, but they were good. Now I’m sleepy again.
Life is good.

Afternoon All. Slept in because it is snowing out and it is Saturday. We got up and put on all our gear to take a walk, but, Loki must have decided it was too cold because as soon as she finished her business, she headed back to the door. LOL. She has had her breakfast and is now taking her morning nap.
Got my car fixed and he didn’t charge me an arm and a leg, just an arm. He is a really nice man and I hope he will continue to be my mechanic. The only problem is he is pretty far away and it is hard to get a lift up there. The bus I use doesn’t go that far. I guess I will pick it up on Monday. Don’t want to drive in the new snow anyway. By Monday the roads should all be clear.

Another fun “small house”…love the layout, the decorations/furniture come in second, but a little too “rustic” in some instances. Nice outdoor space….

Not one bit. Just surprised at the timing. Apparently, even the libs are unloading on him right now. I don’t care if they do from now until 1/20/25. I think most of their ire is Kabuki theater.
