Good mornin’, and Happy Saturday, kids! Lots of chatter on the social media last night about Howdy-Doody and his predilections. Even a couple folks throwing down that he’s probably going down…..in flames….if you get my drift. An old stand-by for making you coffee outdoors, which may be the only way we get to make it since they want to take away electricity, unless it comes from a windmill. Keep your eyes peeled and your head on a swivel because the libs never rest. Carpe your coffee!

Thanks T! Mmm. I love campfire coffee. I always meant to try making biscuits in a Dutch oven, but I have not yet accomplished that. Might oughta practice up!

National Farmers’ Day – probably outta be a month!
Gumbo Day – LA’s Lt. Guv was on the radio yesterday, enthusing about this. My I encourage all of you to find some and enjoy it.
National Savings Day – doesn’t say it has to be money
I love Yarn Day – also celebrated by cats…
National Vermont Day went there last summer
National Motorcycle Ride Day – good weather for it. Czar always said he was going to get another motorcycle (cracked the prior one)
National Chess Day
National Freethought Day – encourages people to be free thinkers and base their opinions on facts, science, logic, and reason.
Costume Swap Day – clearly a recycling goal

Ran into an old man selling homemade canned goods this past week. I bought watermelon rind pickles. A favorite of mine. Done well, they’re the best pickle I’ve ever had.
