International Plastic Bag Free Day – seems this was bigger in the 90’s, but my siste in VA still carries hers into every store
National Fried Clam Day – I read Howard Johnson started making these.
National Chocolate Wafer Day – used to like these as a kid. Can’t remember when I last had one
National Compliment Your Mirror Day – as in Who’s the fairest…?
National Eat Your Beans Day – I will do this. Love all beans.

Have bags to take to the store. Of course, I usually forget them in the car. Don’t like clams. I don’t know that I have ever heard of chocolate water. Oops, that is wafer, not water. Got up late and my eyes haven’t adjusted yet. I avoid the mirror whenever I can. And, I love beans.

Love Howard Johnson’s cried clams. First had them in the 1960s or 70s. I’m addicted to bean salad and that might go well with the clams. But, alas, chocolate wafers and all other forms are verboten.

Can someone ‘splain this to me. There is all sorts of hubbub about a new “transgender” athlete making the Olympic team. The article describes her as being born a biological female, but she competes in a women’s event and just says she’s nonbinary……….whatever that means, and we have to call here they/them. Isn’t this just a mentally ill girl running in a girls track meet? What am I missing?

As I understand it, non-binary has nothing to do with biological sex, but with how she identifies in society. She doesn’t think she is a female or male, and maybe has sexual relations with either nor neither. Shouldn’t matter to the Olympics, except as to what pronouns.

Well, good afternoon everyone. We slept in really late this morning. I think Loki thought it was too late. She started bugging me gently. It is really nice outside and there are piles of clouds, some grey, but mostly white. Pleasant day.
The manager sent a maintenance guy over to change out my smoke alarms because they kept chirping. He had come over and changed the batteries and they still chirped. Now Loki is a nervous mess. She was hysterical all day yesterday. I hope she can get over it. She now jumps if she hears anybody whistle. She has never been jumpy. I am now giving her Calms which seems to help her a little. Well, it is fixed anyway.
Everyone in the path of the storm, get ready if you aren’t already. It looks ugly. And, try to have a nice 4th.
