While you would never know it by watching the “news”, apparently more companies are backing away from blatant cheerleading during “Pride Month”.

Oh, dear lort! The Hilda-Beest appeared at the Tony Awards (didn’t know this was still a thing) wearing the most gawd-awful muumuu (moo-moo?). Click on the video in the article for a peek, if you dare. She looks like some dictator from an island tin-pot nation in this thing!

      Tex,

I dared. She actually looked better than at other times. She may have had some “work done”, or had an extremely talented make-up artist, or both. Judging from her face, she may have lost some weight, too. Judging from her hands, her health is still not optimal.

But muumuu’s are designed to hide a multitude of sins, and other things, so it is interesting that it is always her costume of choice.

But she had to look presidential fill-in candidate worthy, did she not?

After all, it is the stage, and on the stage, many illusions are possible with the right lighting.

      Hi Czarina 🙂

I just popped in to see the past weeks posts & saw you’re in NH!

How long are you going to be in our beautiful state?

My car just broke down so I’ll be spending tomorrow with AAA & at my brother’s shop, but should have a car – some car – by later tomorrow afternoon. What town are you staying in? There is a very good authentic Italian restaurant in Salem, and another nice American restaurant in Bedford, if you have the time to get together. I’ll check here to see any reply.

I hope you are having a wonderful time here 🙂 It is a nice place to live & visit. I am really blessed & grateful to be here.

By the way, it’s 96* with a ‘feels like temp’ of 103*, which is unusual here. What a day for the car to break down on the road!

Hope you had lots of fun today 🙂

The Maine coast is really nice, especially in summer, & it will be cooler there 🙂

Oh, OK, you’re up in the ski areas of the mountains, so Bedford is about 2 to 2hrs 15 min south & Salem is 2 to 2 hrs 30 min south on Rte 93. I really don’t know any restaurants north of Manchester – haven’t been up there in quite a while.

Looking forward to your ‘travelogue’. 🙂

Was in Windam yesterday, ate at Tbones on my friend’s cousin’s tab. Ate lobsters on Saturday at a place near here. Plan to eat at a lobster pound tomorrow. Leaving Friday.

So you’re on the ‘lobster a day plan’? hahaha! Friday is lobster for breakfast? – yup they do have it! On the coast in some restaurants you can sit right next to the ocean & see the lobster & fishing boats come in. Windham is nice. Not much in the town itself, but pretty to drive around. Tbones is in Salem, where everyone in the area goes to shop 😉

Bummer that you were already in southern NH. I don’t know what car I’ll have, so I do not want to drive a long distance in an unfamiliar car borrowed from my brother.

Maybe we can get together whenever you make another trip this way 🙂

I have to be more vigilant reading here even if I’m too tired to comment!

It would always be nice to get together for a meal in ‘the real world’ with the lovely people at Stellas if anyone is up this way. Remember – it’s really beautiful up here in the fall with all the sugar maples turning color, even though we are overrun with ‘leaf peepers’, we are still full of hospitality! 😉

            • Went back to see your travel comments the past few days & saw mention of Maine blueberries – they are great! Try a slice of real Maine blueberry pie. I think maybe the blueberries must taste so good because they have to be so hardy to survive the extreme temperature changes. Also, Moxie is the official soft drink of Maine. Maine is also known for whoopie pies. When my aunt would visit Maine she would always get warm apple pie with a slice of cheddar cheese on top – sounds weird, but tastes good. It’s ‘a thing’ there I guess. (blueberry pie is better imho). And don’t forget to bring home some NH pure maple syrup! The people at Ben’s maple syrup are really nice. This was my Christmas gift to people, & it was a huge hit https://bensmaplesyrup.com/products/pure-maple-syrup-in-gingerbread-man-bottle , but any of their pure maple syrup is good. The grading sampler set is nice to taste the difference. They have tours in the spring sugaring season (unless it gets to -10 below 0).

Afternoon All. It is a little coolish here with piles of gray, white, and almost black clouds all over. I can see what looks like rain off in the far distance over the mountains. I don’t know if we are going to get any of the rain here, but it wouldn’t hurt.

My oldest granddaughter is going to camp this week. My DIL and I were talking about how ugly and cool it was yesterday and that that was too bad. But, to be honest, I don’t remember being bothered by the weather, whatever it was when I was young. And, I have seen these girls go out and play even if it was raining, if it wasn’t too cool. So, probably not a problem for her.

Well, hope all of you have fun today.

Looks like the swamp is continuing their lawfare with Mr. Musk. We know they’ve poked and prodded him a few times because he’s riding the wrong horse, but apparently things are getting a bit more serious. As an aside, WP is acting weird again.
