Did you know that Bill Gates has begun building a nuclear power plant in Wyoming? His new company is called Terrapower. While I don’t trust Bill Gates, this could actually be a good thing. Half of the funding is coming from the U.S. Department of Energy.

According to the first article, it is meant to replace a nearby coal-fired plant. I’m in favor of nuclear power for electricity.

He’s doing it with DOE funding? By the time that project is up and running he, and we, will long since have shuffled off this mortal coil……
Interesting that he recognizes the need for nuclear sourced electricity, though.

One of those public/private partnerships……where they only make money. If they “lose” money, we pay for it. But I actually hope it works because then what will the greenie-weenie folks have to say? Mr. Cardigan Sweater carries a big stick in DC.

Afternoon All. Heavy overcast with fog and humidity today. It was 40* when we got up. Very chilly. It rained last night and looks like it might rain again, but hard to tell. Just regular chores and another application to fill out. I guess that will be what I do today.
