Trooping the Colour

Trooping the Colour is a centuries-old tradition that marks the official birthday of the British sovereign.

  • The ceremony will take place on Horse Guards Parade, with the King attending and taking the salute.
  • Over 1,400 officers and men from the King’s personal guard, as well as over 200 horses and 400 musicians, will participate in the parade.
  • The parade will start at Buckingham Palace and proceed along The Mall to Horse Guards Parade in Whitehall, and then return to Buckingham Palace.
  • The public can watch the ceremony from The Mall or from St James’s Park.

The tradition dates back to 1748 and is a dignified celebration of progress and military service.

This is the rehearsal for this year’s extravaganza!

Supposedly, Kate is going to be there. Social media has been all ablaze with conspiracy theories that make Alex Jones look like Mr. Rogers.
