I’m going to try this again. Not sure what I did, but I would swear that I posted a coffee maker a little while ago. Happy Monday and watch out for what someone might try to pull on you! Coffee is serious business, and this is no joke! Good mornin’, kids!

Good morning! It is finally April, which is something to be excited about, I think, regardless of that fool in the White House.

Funny you should ask. Just Friday there was a news piece that cases of m-pox, as they now call it, are increasing. Of course, only in vulnerable populations. (Such as people who have sex with monkeys?) Coming soon they’ll announce we should change our normal habits, put on masks, wash more frequently, eat only insects?

Robert Stack was a lovely man. A friend of mine who was working as a dayplayer on a series episode had finagled a booth in the executive dining room at Universal. While we were awaiting our waitress, Stack walked by and noticing my friend whom he’d worked with in the past, said hello and joined us for lunch.

When he was talking about something funny (what, I don’t remember since it was a long time ago…1970, I think) he kept tapping my hand for emphasis as we were laughing. When he laughed his eyes were laughing, too. Very charming guy and a great storyteller.

P.S. Now I remember something else he talked about. We’d just received the news that Audie Murphy had died in a plane crash, and Stack was talking about what an interesting fellow he was. That was in May 1971.

Was he relatively short – say, 5’8″ or 5’9″? I met a Robert somebody (actor) at a chili cookoff in 1981 at the something-or-other bowl in L.A. in 1981…. I think it was him. Anyway, nice guy – hung out with us!

Seems to me Stack was around 6 feet. I’ll pause here and check….mmmm, bio says 5’11”.

Robert Blake was quite a bit shorter than me and I was 5’8″ in those days (now I’m 5’6″). Before he starred in BARETTA, he came in for a reading and I was surprised at his height. Robert Redford is under 6 feet (I’ve never seen him in person); Robert Conrad was 5’8″.

I was 5’8″, too – this guy was short for a male. I’ll think of it eventually. If all else fails I’ll drag out the cook-off album of pictures. Everyone else (except one lady) that we met in L.A. was horrible.

Afternoon All. It was 35* when we got up. Perfectly still, no wind and sunny, just a beautiful day.

Yesterday, the Church service was really nice. They decided to have only one instead of having two services and the place was packed. We ended up sitting in chairs they brought in against the back wall. After the service they had a brunch. The men were in charge of setting it up and they did a phenomenal job. Only one thing, they cooked too much bacon and pancakes, so they let people take some home. Imagine, men thinking we would need more bacon than we did!

I hope you all have a nice day even if it rains.

Good afternoon, aus! Yesterday I saw a YouTube commercial which showed microwave cookware for bacon which claims it comes out crisp and delicious. I’m tempted to buy some but not convinced $65 for two containers is a good investment when I could just as well use the skillet. I sure have the time to fry the old-fashioned way, but the clean-up difference just might push me to invest the $65.

      Take care!

I used to always cook mine in the microwave because I hated cleanup. Then, after years of stubbornness, I gave in and tried the oven method. Easier cleanup if you put it on something to catch the splatter, and it cooks up way better than any method I’ve used.

I’m all tore up about this one…..McKinsey offering people up to 9 months of pay and “career coaching” to leave the firm. That firm is one of the most evil in the world along with the BlackRock’s and WEF’s of the world.

McKinsey is offering some staff 9 months of pay and career-coaching services to leave the firm: report (msn.com)

Arizona Rancher Murder Trial: Critical Evidence *Never Recovered* – Prosecution Cannot Definitively Prove Kelly Fired the Fatal Shot

By Brian Lupo Apr. 1, 2024 2:20 pm

On January 30, 2023, Arizona rancher George Alan Kelly, 75, was arrested and charged with the murder of Gabriel Cuen-Buitimea.  Cuen-Buitimea was crossing the border from his hometown of Nogales, Mexico, with a group of seven other illegal immigrants donning camouflage attire and rifles.

Happy (?) April Fools Day Everyone!

After Wee’s scorpion eggs treat yesterday, I was wonderin’ what might come today.

WP seems to be the only one affected with a stomach ache, thankfully.

Everyone else seems to be in fine form.

I have now watched several videos about this “Havana Syndrome”. Remember when our diplomats were recalled from Cuba because of some strange attacks? It seems it has been happening to other government officials all over the world, including right in the USA. I am curious to know what you think about it.

    Here is the latest video:
