Good mornin’, kids! Another year has passed that I forgot to watch the Academy Awards, so let’s celebrate and have some coffee. Happy Monday, y’all!

Mornin’, Miss Wee! Since I quit watching football, basketball, NASCAR, all award shows, it sure has opened up a lot more time for me to devote almost full-time to being a keyboard warrior! A much better use of my time, no doubt!  :D 😀 😀

Me, three! Why bother! Don’t know any of the nominees, haven’t seen any of their films, don’t like the host, refuse to listen to political dialogue since anything they say in that regard will be fascist lies. I think that about covers it.

One of the benefits of getting old: nobody gets upset if you forget to watch the awards shows.

I watched a darling little movie, Chocolat.

National Funeral Director and Mortician Day

    National Worship of Tools Day

National Promposal Day – our prom was in May, so this seems really early to be making a date

    National Oatmeal Nut Waffles Day

National Napping Day – the day after Daylight Savings Time change day

A real hodge-podge of celebrations today.

National napping day seems a perfect fit for the day after the daylight savings change.

An interesting biography for Johnny Appleseed. (Jonathan Chapman)

Did you know he was a missionary? I did not. Apples were his method of spreading the gospel.

      Thanks, Czarina.

      Good day, everyone.

Good afternoon, Reflection! Thanks for the info on Johnny Appleseed. His being a missionary is new info for me, too. We sure didn’t learn that in school when studying his activities.

It is indeed a cornucopia of celebrations today. I think we can all agree on the Big Fat Nap day celebration! ’Afternoon, czarina!

Good afternoon, Czarina! Might as well get to know the local funeral director and mortician for when the inevitable happens. It’s a creepy job, but somebody has to do it.

Yes, that Monday after time change was always the worst. It usually took me a week to get over the fatigue factor, especially after overeating oatmeal nut waffles.

Have to admit never having heard of 311 before. The Internet is my go-to for most any information.

Many ancient tools are still in use today, but I certainly don’t know anyone personally who worships them….

I went to church and school with the local undertaker’s son. He took over his father’s business, and buried several people I know or were related to – my uncle/godfather for one.

Good news, but not surprising. Why would Christians in the USA (a large part of our population) pay to watch a movie that tells them that they are terrible, and probably criminal?

Rob Reiner’s Fascist ‘God & Country’ Doc Grosses Pathetic $60K Worldwide

Producer Rob Reiner’s anti-Christian smear, God & Country: The Rise of Christian Nationalism, limped out of theaters after grossing a hilarious $60,464 worldwide.

Basically, that’s fewer than 7,000 tickets sold in a country of 350 million.

That’s fewer than 7,000 tickets sold, even after producer Rob Reiner got all kinds of free media from countless corporate media outlets.

God & Country: Why Christian Ideas Should be Outlawed was dropped in 85 theaters. Considering I went to public schools, this is what the math looks like…

With 7,000 tickets sold in 85 theaters, that works out to about 82 tickets per theater. But…

God & Country: Why Loving Jesus and America Makes You a Nazi played for 23 days. So…

If you divide those 82 tickets per theater by 23 days, that’s an average of 3.5 tickets per day. But…

If you divide those 3.5 tickets per day into six showings a day, that works out to 3/5th of a ticket sold per showing. So you have to imagine every theater seat is empty except for one guy with no legs below the knees. Basically, a post-war Lieutenant Dan has to sit all by himself, staring at David French’s stupid face.

I’m not much of a cinephile, and while he’s made more than a handful of what could be considered successful movies, he’s been on a bit of a losing streak for quite a while. If he were a stock I would short the Meathead.

That’s amazing, Stella! Strange that someone so well known in the industry wouldn’t have a loyal following buying tickets to help up his totals. Maybe he doesn’t have any friends or followers.

I worked with a gal who’d been an assistant in his office. Her opinion of him had nothing to do with politics since she was very liberal, but she said he was the most difficult person she’d ever worked for. He apparently had severe anger issues and took out his frustrations on the staff. Plus he sexually harassed others with his filthy talk. She said one of the best days of her life was when she got another job.

Afternoon All. It was 35* when we got up this morning with a few thin clouds. And, I think it rained last night. I was sleepy all day yesterday. I was late getting up yesterday morning, but made it to Church finally. I don’t know why that change should make me feel that way.

Hope your weather isn’t too bad where you are.
