Stellars, have a Thankful Thursday among our slick and furry-coated friends….

    Donkey…

“Burros and Donkeys are the same animal and their scientific name is Equus Asinus. People tend to refer to domestics as ‘donkeys’ and the formerly wild critters by the Spanish name ‘burro’.  Burros are desert-adapted animals.” (mancoscreativedistrict)

    Mule…

“A mule is the offspring of a male donkey (a jack) and a female horse (a mare). A horse has 64 chromosomes, and a donkey has 62. The mule ends up with 63. Mules can be either male or female, but, because of the odd number of chromosomes, they can’t reproduce.” (LuckyThreeRanch)

This doesn’t particularly make me happy, but it does make me smile knowing our side is rarely wrong when it comes to the Biden Crime Family and their thorough corruption….

National Supermarket Employee Day – Never had this job

National Chili Day – with soda crackers, cheese and raw onions

National California Day – just watched a dog rescue from a rushing river in California

National Cook a Sweet Potato Day – funny how this one says to cook the item but not eat it. I really love them.

National Margarita Day – not for me. Taste like dishwater.

Afternoon All. It was 37* when we got up at 10:00 this morning. It is very pleasant outside and was really sunny for a while. It is getting cloudy now.

Still fighting this cold. My DIL told me this morning that my son has been sick, too. He thought he was over it on Monday and went back to work, only to have it flare up again yesterday. I felt better Monday afternoon, too, but didn’t believe it was gone.

Well, hope you are all well.

Hi, aus! Sorry about the lingering cold. Too bad researchers aren’t working on a cure for the common cold rather than looking for and/or creating the doomsday bug.

Now that I’m $70 lighter in the pocketbook due to co-pays after getting tested in an audio/hearing lab plus seeing the doctor today to go over the results, turns out nothing much is wrong…little bit of hearing loss and the tinnitus seems to be in remission. So it’s all merely to be monitored for the foreseeable future and if it starts up again, a return doctor visit will be set up.

Feels like a waste of time except it really was nice to be out actually seeing human beings and not sitting home watching them on videos. The lab technician, nurses, support staff, doctors and the people in the waiting rooms were all lovely people. One thing about living in Idaho, people greet each other with smiles, nods and how-are-yous whether they know each other or not.

      Take care!

I find the same thing here. People are kind and considerate and very friendly.

I have tinnnitis, too. I didn’t know what it was until I was in my 20’s and I read an article about people going crazy because of it. When I realized it was what I had, for some reason, I made up my mind I wasn’t going to let it do that to me. I have over the years, pointed it out to doctors, but usually they would just shrug. I was trying to remember when I first noticed it and it was actually back when I was 9. I was awake at night and heard the ringing and thought it was a rattler under my bed. Of course, I had no idea then what a rattle snake sounded like.. I went into my mother’s room and told her and she told me to go back to bed, that there was no rattlesnake under my bed. I just keep music or the TV on and I can ignore it.

As far as them coming up with something to cure the common cold, I would be afraid they would make a medication that turned you green and made your teeth fall out or something equally bad. LOL

Judge Denies Trump’s Request for Stay in Fraud Judgment

    By Catherine Yang. 2/22/2024

New York Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron has denied former President Donald Trump’s request for a 30-day stay of judgment after defense attorneys protested the attorney general’s “rush” for enforcement.

“I intend to sign the proposed judgment this morning,” Justice Engoron wrote in a Feb. 22 email. The judgment has already been delivered to the county clerk, according to the docket.

Responding to a request for a stay, he added: “You have failed to explain, much less justify, any basis for a stay. I am confident that the Appellate Division will protect your appellate rights.”

Will this awaken New York city dwellers?

The city is in deep trouble already.

No capital investments and it’s finished.

If no one underwrites, no one builds, no one renovates or restores.
