Stella's Place 
Somehow or other when I clumsily hit the keyboard with my hand today, it seemed to change how I post things on Word Press. At the top of the comment box, on the left margin begins a series of symbols, one looking like a paragraph symbol, next are three short lines, then a capital B with a forward slash, then an unknown symbol. I’ve never seen this lineup before and have no idea of their use or how to get rid of them. There’s also a puzzling notation in the body of this box which says: ”Type / to choose a block.” So I’m going to hit the “comment” button and see if what I’ve typed so far shows up. Btw, I’ve tried turning off the computer and logging back in, but it doesn’t remove the strange symbols or the weird “Type…” instruction.

It is the same on mine. They have “updated” WordPress again, I guess, to make it more easy for a computer geek to use, I guess.

That’s the same sort of thing that the new WordPress post software uses. It stinks. The symbols represent Paragraph, Align Text, Bold, Italic, and Link.

Afternoon All. It snowed all day yesterday and we now have another couple inches. I guess we should be glad we are not in Alaska. I watched a show, Homestead Rescue, and they were in Alaska and said they sometimes get 14 feet. That is feet, not inches. They were fixing a shed that looked pretty sturdy but had collapsed under the weight of the snow. I think we can handle 2 or 3 inches.
Stay safe and keep warm, or cool, as the situation calls for in your area.

Reading the New York Times on Friday was like picking up one of those tabloids in the supermarket checkout line. You know, the ones with articles entitled TAYLOR AND TRAVIS CANOODLE IN THE CARIBBEAN and HOW TO LOSE SIXTY POUNDS WHILE EATING ONLY CHEESECAKE AND ICE CREAM, along with crazy stuff, such as SCIENTISTS PLAN TO LAUNCH GIANT UMBRELLA TO BLOT OUT THE SUN. But this was, after all, the New York Times, and there was the article, all dressed up in Gray Lady language but still just as tarty a tabloid story as you could imagine: “Could a Giant Parasol in Outer Space Help Solve the Climate Crisis?”
