Funny, but my family’s story is similar to Tucker’s. One branch came to the U.S. from Scotland in 1772 (my 4th great grandfather and his sons), and fought on the side of the crown during the Revolution. Since they lost, they were expelled to Canada. Then, in the 1880’s, my 2nd great grandfather came to Michigan to establish a farm in Sanilac County. That land is still in our family.

Many pundits have given various estimates on the number of illegals that presently abide in the US. These vary between 14 million and 50 million.
