Luke 2
And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.
2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)
5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.
16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.

Merry Christmas, WeeWeed! If you’re anything like me, the Christmas music is playing, presents have been opened, and dinner awaits. The key, as always, is moderation…but Christmas tradition is to eat until you’re as stuffed as the turkey was. Here’s to tradition!

I know that we all make mistakes, but if you’re a “prominent” politician, you might want to make sure when you’re advocating taking someone off your state’s ballot, you might have your facts straight.

In other news, water is wet and the earth is round. Study shows boys born as a boy run faster than a girl. Regardless of what he calls himself.

Tuba Christmas!
TubaChristmas is a music concert held in cities worldwide that celebrates those who play, teach, and compose music for instruments in the tuba family, including the tuba, sousaphone, baritone, and euphonium, though some participants bring rarer members of the family such as the helicon, ophicleide, serpent and double bell euphonium.
The first TubaChristmas was organized by Harvey G. Phillips to honor his tuba teacher William Bell, born on Christmas Day 1902. It was held December 22, 1974, in the ice skating rink at New York City’s Rockefeller Center; Paul Lavalle conducted.[1] Over 300 musicians played that day, beginning a holiday tradition. The arrangements of the Christmas carols were written by Alec Wilder, who coincidentally died on Christmas Eve 1980.
It was not easy to convince Rockefeller Center to let hundreds of tubas play on the ice rink. Phillips had to provide the unlisted telephone numbers of some of his friends: Leopold Stokowski, Leonard Bernstein, Andre Kostelanetz, and Morton Gould. He was given free rein after his references were checked.[2

My older grandson took part in Tuba Christmas in Chicago when he was in high school. He played the euphonium! I ran across a photo of him with his friends just yesterday.

Not from in Mississippi. They are on the way far side of NO area. Czar and I went several times when we lived in NO. They are vey impressive. Worth adding to a Christmas vacation, especially on a bus tour so you don’t have to find them and park. Used to also have a paddle boat tour from NO docks.

Senator Paul’s annual Festivus Report. A true airing of the grievances. I honestly think a pack of monkeys could run the Country better than the idjits “in charge” currently.

Rained all day yesterday, equaled almost 4”. Now windy and getting colder by the minute.
Turkey ready to go in the oven, need to peel and cook potatoes and mash them, and make the gravy when the turkey is done. Brother will pick up GGS from Gulfport, we will eat about 3.
Plumbing continues to be a problem. Plan to eat off paper plates.

Merry Christmas All. I was so excited to get to go to the Christmas Eve service last night. It was a packed house.
It was -7* when we got up this morning. A tad chilly. On our walk, I stopped to see if my car would start. Something happened yesterday and some lights were left on. I still don’t understand what it was. They are automatic.. But, the dear old thing started right up.
Must go for now. I aim going to my son’s to open presents. I hope you all have a great and blessed day.
