Morning Lucille. When I had a decorative painting business that movie, Under the Tuscan Sun, came out. For about three years after 80% of our customers wanted a “Tuscan” finish on their walls.

The Tuscan finish was in actuality whatever the lady of the house wanted it to be.

Good day, weather! Elaborate and beautiful. That is a much photographed building and surrounding area.

The street lamps look quite old. As with many cities of Europe, it’s hard to tell if they’re replicas or if they survived the tremendous bombings during World War II. Unfortunately, Bologna was a strategic industrial area for the fascist Italian regime.

Big day for us too, and actually the origin of Halloween, All Hallows Eve. Today is All Saints Day.

I have totally mixed feelings about the Muertos stuff. Last week at homeschool co-op one of the teachers talked to the kids about it, and presented it a very good light.

Seems to me to have lots of pagan stuff I don’t believe in, but I’ve never dig deep enough into it to really educate myself, I admit, since I don’t go eat with the dead people. Maybe I ought to learn.

Here’s a bit more about today. It’s much more prevalent in this part of the Country, and I have a DIL who is Hispanic, so I’ve learned a little bit.

El Día de los Muertos is a day of celebration, particularly for the people in Mexico and Central America, and for many Mexican Americans in the United States. It is a day to honor and commemorate the lives of the dearly departed and to welcome the return of their spirits.

The tradition of the Día de los Muertos is rooted in Indigenous and Spanish Catholic ritual customs. Today, this celebration has been increasingly popular among Latinos in the United States. Though many of the traditional elements have remained, the way and where the Dia de los Muertos is celebrated has changed. However, the unity of life and death continues to be the dominant theme of the art, tradition, and rituals of the annual celebration of the Dia de los Muertos on Nov.1st-2nd both in Mexico and the United States.

    Prime Meridian Day

All Saints Day – in NO people go to the cemeteries to whitewash tombs and pull weeds. Some bring picnic lunches for friends and family who help.

Day of the Dead – already spoken about above

    Autistics Speaking Day

    World Vegan Day

National Biological Coordinators Day – a job I never heard of

I’m in on All Saints, and I have a couple of autistics who often won’t shut up! Agnostic on the rest, except the Vegan Day. I am out on that one, and now that I think about it, I’ve had no meat today. I’m overdue!

I have not seen this before–what this guy presents in the little clicky presentation. He’s certainly not “on our side” (re US illegal invasion…he’s a leader in it)….but he calls some stuff out and names it.

Nice to know that the invasion leaders fully understand the duplicity and felonious dementia of jokebiden and some of them think joke’s really stupid for not managing his Self Assault on our nation better….I think it bends my mind.

Fauci-Run Lab in Montana Experimented with Coronavirus Strain Year Before Pandemic
    By Jack Davis – November 1, 2023 at 9:04am

Almost two years before coronavirus became a household word, a National Institute of Health lab in Montana was conducting experiments with bats that focused on the spread of the virus.
