   Mrs. Baker, a nice lady who lived across the canyon boulevard, handed out home-baked cookies on halloween. She was 100 and came west on a covered wagon. We were in awe of that fact but to young to really appreciate the history.

     When I was a kid we got lots of homemade stuff. Too bad those days are gone.
