      It’s not weird. They got rid of McCarthy for good reasons, and the holdouts don’t want another GOPe type replacing him. The holdouts don’t want another CR, which Scalise was ready to bring forth. Wanted: real cuts, secure borders, keeping the one-vote-for-ouster rule, etc. Otherwise, is samo, samo.

        In ’67, my husband and I watched Johnny Unitas play. It was the last couple of minutes of the game and they were about to lose. My husband was so disappointed and got up to leave. I said I was going to stay and watch since he had always told me that Johnny usually won the game in the last minute. So, Johnny threw a pass and won the game in the last few seconds.

        My husband got so excited he jumped up and hit his hands on the ceiling. We were living in a travel trailer with a 7′ ceiling. LOL

    Afternoon All. It was 44* and overcast this morning when we got up. Pretty chilly outside. They are still working around the building so there is lots of noise. It is amazing how much of the noise these insulated walls and double/triple paned windows block. I am grateful for that.

    Hope you all have a nice day and avoid the news if you can.

    His show today is about Canada debanking citizens under the “Emergencies Act”.

      National No Bra Day…apparently that’s connected to Breast Cancer Awareness Day; so it’s rather redundant (and considering that 1 in 833 breast cancer patients are men, a tad discriminatory–yes, I just looked up the stat).

      My mother used to call me her “child of the 60s.” I remember late in the decade having dinner with my boyfriend at a restaurant on Wilshire near Westwood near U.C.L.A. and I was sans a certain garment about which he smiled. My response was something along the line, “Oh, you men should just get over it.” His response was, “Don’t kid yourself.” LOL!

    Looks like some of the lefty-leaning institutions of “higher-learning” are getting their comeuppance. A couple big money folks have made the first step in letting their “leaders” at these institutions they aren’t happy. That is usually followed by much smaller checks down the road…….I hope.
