    PAPA DON! Trump Serves Fans Pizza

    President Trump was swarmed by fans at Kathy’s Treehouse Pub & Eatery in Bettendorf, Iowa. The former president handed out pizzas to a number of hungry patriots as they shouted, “We want pizza from Trump!” Meanwhile, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was in Houston hosting a big-dollar fundraiser inside a mansion — heavily guarded by security.

    Mornin’, kids! Coffee’s up. Big day today. Taking Mrs. T to the airport as she’s going to this year’s CrimeCon convention in Orlando. What is CrimeCon you say? It’s like ComicCon for people who watch 48 Hours, but they don’t dress up. 😉

        Norway in its entirety is magical. It’s nighttime there now, just after 8:30 PM so you won’t see much in this video but lights and outlines….

        Before I saw these live feeds I’d not given Norway much thought except when I watched “The Last Place On Earth” (1985), the TV 7-part mini-series of Norwegian Roald Amundsen’s successful trek to the South Pole. Excellent and worth the view.

          Went to Oslo in 1969, saw the tourist stuff like the Viking ships and the warship Wasa. Clean, nice people with lots of English speakers.

        Sorry, Czarina, were you responding to Texan’s post re the CrimeCon? I think I got mixed up and thought you were responding to the Steigen post. Anyhow, have a fun time wherever you plan for your trips.

        P.S. These meds the doc has put me on not only have the side effect of brain fog but a myriad of other annoyances. But he wants me to stay on them until my six month check-up. I’ve been on them for 64 days so far and they do seem to be of help on the initial problem. Between a rock and a hard place!

    Democrats Discover A New ‘Threat To Democracy’ — The U.S Constitution

    We’ve been cataloging how the left has taken to labeling every candidate it doesn’t like and every policy it opposes a “threat to democracy.” But even we were surprised to see the U.S. Constitution itself added to the list of these threats.

    MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell said over the weekend that: “The Constitution has some profoundly anti-democratic, which is to say anti-democracy components, like the Electoral College and the two senators per state, for example.”

    Mind you, this aired on Sept. 15, just two days before Constitution Day, which this year marked the 236th anniversary of its signing.

    O’Donnell was talking to Jamelle Bouie, a New York Timers columnist, who after nodding his head in agreement with O’Donnell, added that “I think we’ve witnessed over the last couple years especially with the attempt to overturn the election, the ways that the constitution, its rules, can actually be used against what Americans think identify as a Democracy.”

    Bouie (and others on the left) has been singing this song for a while. Last year, at a conference sponsored by the University of Pennsylvania’s Andrea Mitchell Center for the Study of Democracy (named after NBC News’ chief foreign affairs correspondent), Bouie said “The threat to U.S. democracy is coming from inside the house. The Constitution itself is the problem.”

    Meanwhile, over the weekend at CNN, as Jim Acosta was interviewing a couple of Harvard professors about a new “very important” book they’ve written bashing the Constitution, the chyron at the bottom of the screen blared “Scholars warn outdated Constitution has put democracy at risk.”

    “The country lags dangerously behind other modern democracies,” Acosta said in introducing the authors, “because it hasn’t taken any steps to eliminate minority rule that they say has allowed a minority to thwart the will of American voters.”

    The Harvard “scholars” go on to bash the Electoral College, the Senate, and the Supreme Court, saying that “this set of institutions allows minorities to systematically thwart and even govern over majorities.”

    So, the way to restore “democracy” is to do away with the Senate, do away with the states, gut the Supreme Court, and do away with the Electoral College? So that … what? We can end up in a socialist hellhole like Venezuela?

    Unlike today’s pundits and “scholars,” the architects of the Constitution knew enough about the inherent dangers of democracy to avoid creating one.

      Makes a person wonder if Acosta and O’Donnell have ever fully read the Constitution or have they just listened to the Left’s take on it.

      Those ‘scolars’ are right about one thing: there IS a minority thwarting the will of American voters and ‘systematically thwart and even govern over majorities.’

    Mornin’ All. As far as ai M concerned, winter has set in. I got chilly last night. I am putting on my flannel sheets and getting out a winter nighty today. It was 50* when I got up, but I don’t understand why it felt much colder than yesterday. I put on a padded vest under my heavy sweatshirt and was fine. But it is beautiful outside today. The sky is a beautiful blue with little floaty clouds here and there.

    I talked to the mailman who came VERY early this morning. It was about 8:30 or so. Day before yesterday the guy was delivering at 7:00 at night. Never can tell when he will be there. He said he’s a conservative and his wife is a nurse. He didn’t have to get the Vaxx and she was told to but told them to “pound sand”. She is still working in the neonatal wing. She said the placentas are looking weird now with lots of what looks like clots.

    Along with that, I received yesterday two mail-in ballots addressed to past tenants. I pointed that out to him and he made some notes. He says it worries him because there are so many like that going out. I may take them with me this morning and stop at the election office and have a chat with them.

    Loki has an appt for a haircut and bath this morning. I finally decided I just have to do it. I hope they are good to her. She stands pretty still when I bathe her.

      If you return the ballots to the election office, be sure to mark through the address and write “not at this address”.

        I just happened by the school and saw a “return ballots here” sign. So I went in and had a nice long talk with two really nice ladies. They marked the ballot envelopes and said they were going to check on what they do with people who moved. I have returned all the others in the past and marked them and it didn’t do any good evidently.

          I was going to say for you to take photos of the ballots before you turned them in. That way you’d have evidence to send to Judicial Watch that the Montana county (or whatever governmental body sent you the ballots) is not cleaning up their voter rolls. Maybe next time.

          There’s no doubt someone isn’t being diligent in maintaining proper voting rolls. If your state representatives are Republicans, you might send them messages via their websites of the situation and ask what they are doing about clean voter rolls.
