To honor all of those who work hard every day, and for those who did so for many years and are honorably retired!

There are many great songs celebrating workers – the good bits and the bad bits. What’s your favorite?

    First of all, I love Alabama and everything they put out. But my mind went blank when I tried to think of another working song.

    My favorites? Not easy to choose one.
    But they all have a common theme. Attitude toward the work being done.

    Sixteen Tons — Sense of helplessness and the resulting rebellion. (Worker abuse)

    Heigh Ho! — Each character with differing attitudes. (Disney version)

    Whistle While You Work — Working successfully with others. (Disney)

    A reminder to say “thank you” for jobs well done.
