Where’s the nearest large body of water?

    What time is coffee ready?

Where’s the best/cheapest food served that you don’t have to cook yourself?

What is your passport expiration date?

How do you pay for the multitude of things you want to do?

I like that list. Why do we want to go back to the water? Remember being a kid who could spend ALL day in a pool or floating on the ocean in an inner tube.

Thanks, czarina! The list was fun to compile.

We lived about 35 miles from the Pacific coast when I was a kid. So summer Saturdays were often spent in Huntington Beach, Hermosa Beach or Laguna. Or we might take a vacation visiting relatives in Ventura County to the north where my paternal grandfather rented half of a house on the beach. It was so wonderful to wake up to the smell of the sea.

That sea smell in particular, Lucille. We went on dates to the Sea Lion Restaurant in Malibu – I’ve been thinking about that smell on those warm summer nights a lot lately for some reason.

Mornin all ya’all! Hot again with little chance of rain, just not AS HOT as it has been. Have to go out and water the potted plants now.

Good morning everbody! More rain today, I think. We got a fair amount yesterday.

Tucker ate part of one of my sandals last night, including a buckle and part of a strap, so I gave him some hydrogen peroxide to make him vomit it up. It worked. It was a mess, but at least I don’t have to worry about anything getting stuck.

We had a dog, Lucky Dog was his name, who ate EVERYTHING. I learned after the first day he ate the strap off a Croc that I should always leave shoes inside of the closet with the door closed. He ate books, pens, reading glasses, plastic handles on knives…. If we were leaving the house we had to take him with us or put him in a cage. Amazingly he never had digestion trouble.

Tucker is the same. He has eaten silicone keyboard covers (2), gloves, socks, paper of all kinds, and has chewed a pair of my prescription glasses. Since his last escapade, where the rope toy piece got stuck and he had to have surgery, I am extra wary. Usually he vomits up the big stuff, but I can’t take a chance. He doesn’t have enough intestine left to withstand another surgery.

ADD: I usually crate him even when I leave the room to do laundry etc.

PS: A small amt of hydrogen peroxide works for dogs, but is poison to cats.

I learned about it when my Stella ate rat poison which, fortunately, we caught right away. The vet told us about it and had us do it even before I brought her in.

Shame on her. I don’t know why people like this don’t just move to another country that is so much better than the USA.

Earlier I saw the headline regarding this unfortunate hater but didn’t read what her complaints are. As with all brainwashed lefties, she likely wasn’t able to knowledgeably articulate what’s got her in such a panty-twist. Probably something to do with the recent SCOTUS decisions. Hopefully her influence is nil.

Btw, Twitter appears to be only available to members now. It used to be that anyone could access the tweets, videos and comment sections but you just couldn’t comment without membership. I’ve seen this observation at other blogs; so I know it’s not my programming.

I think it is part of an effort to control the amount of money hemorrhaging that Twitter has been experiencing every month. SD recently wrote about it over at CTH.

Example: when you hit the “like” button feature on an engagement system, the response (like increasing by one) must not only be visible to you, but must also be visible to those simultaneously looking at the action you took. If 100,000 simultaneous users are looking at the same thing, the database must deliver the response to 100,000 people. As a result, the number of simultaneous users on a user engagement platform drives massive performance costs. In the example above, a single action by one person requires the server to respond to 100,000 simultaneous users with the updated data.

As a consequence, when a commenting platform increases in users, the cost not only increases because of that one user, the cost increases because the servers need to respond to all the simultaneous users. Using CTH as an example, 10,000 to 15,000 simultaneous commenting system users, engaging with the servers, costs around $4,500/mo.

Yes, I’ve noticed that Twitter links posted here want me to get an identity now before viewing. No, thanks.
The Western Journal is very good about adding transcripts so we don’t have to sign up to read/hear.

They never do. Libs have been bashing this Country and threatening to move hither and yon since as long as I can remember. How many have actually done the deed? Not one of the useless bags of skin has ever done it to my knowledge.

Afternoon All. It is slightly cool, 65* on my shady patio with just a slight breeze and hot and sunny out in the open. Beautiful clear blue sky. I have been here one full year as of early this morning at 2:30. I have been through just about every kind of weather here, except for a hurricane and a tornado. I guess I should add, no floods. I guess this spring has been my favorite weather, although I truly enjoy it when it snows, probably because I don’t have to get out in it much except to take Loki out. I know that makes a difference.

Hope the temps in your area are more comfortable today. And, I hope you can enjoy the day.
