Pretty. But likely only nice to be there in July, since it is so far north. Also, I imagine it smells a lot like fish all the time.

Being in the Arctic, that’s always a possibility. However, “the weather today in Lofoten will be chilly with temperatures around 53°F. During the evening and night time the temperatures will drop to 51°F.
“In December the thermometer averaged maximum of 41°F. In the morning the temperature drops to 38°F. Thus, the mean temperature average on this month of December in Lofoten is 40°F.”
I’m at 53 degrees right now, heading to 60F and we’ve been having winds which sent my pottery flying off the front porch during the night. It will be 48 tonight.
So I’d probably be used to Norway weather. My only concern would be accessibility to medical facilities and, of course, the language.

Temps are interesting! The highs today in the Willamette Valley in Oregon are in the 50s. Lows last night and for the next several nights are in the 40s. Works for me, however.

This is what I found re the big white polar bear threat…it’s on another archipelago…but I suppose the ‘lil darling’ could swim over for an afternoon of hunting in the Lofotens….

Mornin’ All. It was 45* when I got up at 8:00. Beautiful blue sky with white clouds around the mountains off in the distance. I actually had to switch back to heat from air conditioning because it was so cool inside. It must have really dropped last night. So the heat has run a little this morning. It is pretty nice outside……..if you have a jacket on. LOL
Got things to do today. I have a doctor appt to go over my blood labs and I am hoping to hear from the manager at the apartment I am trying to get. Also, still sorting things to get rid of.
All of you in the path of the storms, please stay safe. They look awful.

In other news, gas is up to $4.29/gallon for regular here. Half a tank in my 2006 Equinox was over $30 today.
