Megyn Kelly begins the show with a monologue explaining why she is done using “preferred pronouns” and will base her conversations on trans ideology in reality and truth, how her own views on this issue have evolved, the harms of gender affirming care in schools and by physicians, the injustice of biological men competing in women’s sports, how Lia Thomas and then Riley Gaines changed the story, standing up for women, and more.
She closes her monologue with the poem, I Am Not A Dress, written by 14-year old Irish woman, who goes by the name Brandubh. She wrote it after she was criticized by a teacher for saying that sex was not assigned at birth. “Its not assigned, its observed,” she said, pointing out that for many women sex is observed while they were a baby in the womb.
We are women, we are warriors of steel.
Woman is something no man will ever feel.
Woman is not a skill that any man can hone.
Woman is our word and it is ours alone.I am not a dress to be worn on a whim,
A man in a dress is nonetheless a him.
Women are not simply what we wear.
If this offends you, I do not care.
I am not an idea in any man’s mind
And my purpose in life is not to be kind.
So while my rights are trampled every day of the week,
I will not stand by being docile and meek.I am not defined by sexist lies.
There is more to woman than that shallow guise,
That guise of dresses, bikinis and skirts,
Those clothes are not what womanhood is worth.I am not a bitch, a TERF, a whore, a slag,
Hysterical, a witch, a slut, a hag.
No I am a woman, I am a female,
Who will not let her rights be put up for sale.I am not defined by what men are not.
So to hell with cis misogynistic rot.
I am a woman, I’m not a subset of my sex.
If this makes me a dinosaur, so be it, I’m a T-Rex!I am not a bleeder nor a menstruator,
A womb carrier or a uterus haver.
Those words and phrases are such a sham.
Just call me woman, it is who I am.We are women, we are warriors of steel.
Woman is something no man will ever feel.
Woman is not a skill that any man can hone.
Woman is our word and it is ours alone.

That was really good. I am so impressed by Megyn being able to admit she was wrong. “There is the harm.”

Yes, good that she will reach a lot of viewers and could convert many – but Megyn still has a long way to go. She’s in the precarious position of being able to influence so needs to be extremely critical in vetting and adopting her speaking points.

I have been watching the YouTube versions of her show for months now. Nobody is perfect, but she is a convincing and influential spokesperson. I will always feature someone when they say something that I think is important, no matter who they are.
It’s like Presidential candidates. They are all flawed, but it is important to weigh the good against the bad, then make your decision about a candidate. That is why I think the recent infighting in the Republican Party about candidates Trump and DeSantis is not helpful. I voted for Trump twice, and will do so again if he is the candidate. That doesn’t mean that he is perfect. I would also vote for DeSantis if he is the candidate.

I watched part of “What is a Woman?” last night and found myself wondering why–since they dismiss “the sex assigned at birth (identified by genitalia)”, a they insist that genitalia are not a characteristic tied to “gender”…. yet when a boy wants to be a girl, they carve a place for a vagina in his bottom after cutting off his penis…and they cut the girl’s breasts off, destroy her vagina, etc. and try to create a penis if she wants to be a boy.
If genitalia do not signify sex/gender, they need to explain why they do this.
So corrupt. So vile. Sodom and Gomorrah would marvel at the intense pursuit of these things.
