One of the many things I love about my DIL is that she involves her daughters, even though they are all under 7, in almost everything she does. They love to help her cook, feed and clean up after the animals, and plant the garden. She allows them to do the things they are capable of doing which gives them a positive experience.

Back in the 70’s and 80’s my friend, who was a bit of a hippie, had an extensive garden, canned and dried lots of her produce, made her own bread, and had her 2 daughters involved daily in the processes. The oldest one hates everything gardening and the youngest is disinterested.

I have not missed an episode of Roots and Refuge Farm in about one and a half years because Stella got me hooked, LOL. Thanks Stella
