Mornin’ All. It was down to 31* this morning. Guess I have to get over the the oil change station and get the car winterized. I won’t be driving it much once it snows…….snow showers due in less than two weeks……….I still want it ready. I heard back from another apartment complex here. I requested to be put on their waiting list about more than six months ago. The waiting list is from 8 months to a year, or so, long. That place isn’t close enough to my kids for me to bother to move there, although, it is much cheaper.
I had better get moving. It is a first come first serve at the oil changing placer. Have a nice day.

Hey Mom! Glad to hear you’re adapting well to the colder climate. We had our first snow of the winter yesterday. Snowed all afternoon, evening and night. Woke up to less than an inch on the ground, which has melted in the afternoon sun. But more predicted. I agree with Weather. You want some good lined winter boots with good Vibram tread on them. LL Bean is a great source, I order from them a lot. Their fleece-lined jeans (if you’re the jeans type) are outstanding.

I ordered two broccoli crowns today in my Aldi grocery delivery (they were out of broccoli bunches). I ordered two because they are usually small, but these were each packages of two LARGE crowns! I ended up blanching and freezing most of it – got four quart bags of florettes, plus some more fully cooked in the frig.

I’ve found exactly 8 minutes in the steamer (with already boiling water) is perfect. We eat a LOT of broccoli.
