God bless her for her unflagging commitment to her duty, and to the welfare of her country.

I know that many thought only of her privilege and wealth. She was certainly committed to her duty. I always think how sad it is to live constantly in the public eye, under a set of strict rules set by the government. I would rather be me.

I would not have traded places with her for all the wealth and privilege in the world. And the only one of those castles I might possible have liked a little is Balmoral.
She was the epitome of a leader who put her duty above all else. I can think of no other example as fine as her. I echo those who say we will not see her like again. I wish truly that I was optimistic enough to believe this world still capable of producing someone like her, but I’m not.

I highly respected her service during the war, and that picture of her as a mechanic is one of my favorites of her as well.

This is so sweet and indicative of her future concern for her people and her role as monarch. As you know, the children of England were sent to the countryside to get away from the London bombings. So she was thinking of them.

I am sad about her passing. And, I am sad for England and the world. that Charles will be king. He certainly will be no Elizabeth.
