Morning Wee! Kitty with a sense of humor…makes it look easy while disguising the fact those are I-beams he’s treading on. Still…could any of us do that if the proportions were bigger? I think not!
Our kitty came into the house yesterday morning doing the low crawl…means only one thing: coyote! Short while later one came into view in full sprint chasing a yearling deer, also in full sprint. My better half grabbed appropriate instrument and cut them off on the other side of the hill, just in time to take aim at the coyote-with-deer-neck-in-mouth. Got off a shot, and the two went their separate ways. We don’t know what became of the deer, but got another very long shot at the attacker about an hour later on our walk. He’s on notice: the ‘No Hunting’ signs on our property apply to EVERYONE!

Oops…looks like I commented on the wrong image. Internet wouldn’t allow me to see the Babylon one ;(

I figured it out. Love the kitty, and the coyote story.

The unmentioned problem is what happens to those of us who don’t live in cities or suburbs. Our gas expense is much higher to get to the store or work because nothing is nearby. There is no public transportation anywhere in my county. It is 8 miles to the nearest gas station, and 25 miles to the grocery. Walmart is 30 miles away. Rural people spend a larger portion of their income on transportation than city folks.

I think that’s somewhat true. Shopping and gas stations are close to my home, BUT when I was working, my commute was 20 miles in each direction. I usually shopped somewhere along my route on my way home in the evening. That means that I was driving 200 miles a week just for work.

Morning’ Wee, everyone. Rained here last night. We may have gotten a half inch, but it was hard to tell because there were so many leaves in the rain gauge. Never seen that before. The brown oak leaves are falling now. They make a real mess. My air conditioner made the same loud noise last night that it did over the weekend. I called and they said they didn’t think anyone would come out. I told them, “Yes, they will.” It was raining a little so she brought out a window unit and set it in the window. She said they couldn’t work on the outside unit when it was raining. I know that isn’t true, because one of the maintenance guys did just that in a pouring rain one time.
Well, it is Tuesday and I have a massage appt and then am going to my friend’s house to make plans for our trip. Probably my last one to the beach. Hope everyone can keep in out of the weather today. We are even supposed to have severe storms.

Morning, Stella…just what I was thinking!
Happy Tuesday, all!!

Well, possibly. The problem is that I won’t have the money to do that. The cost of rent up there is as bad as here. I think once I go, I won’t be back.

Dropped a few degrees here but increased humidity significantly. Supposed to rain overnight and maybe some tomorrow, too.

This just makes me sad. Our elite overlords just don’t care.

I just got an email from a friend who lives here and they just signed a new lease. The rent went up $104 and they now have to pay water which will probably be $47 a month.

$47 a month is a lot for water. My bill is about $75 for three months.
