    Mornin’ All. Cool and sunny here. Haircut day. We went to see Death on the Nile yesterday. It was pretty good. The scenery was absolutely stunning. It is worth seeing it in a theater just for that. I was afraid they would Hollywood it up, you know, add sex and change the story. They did that a little. There was a dance scene at the beginning that was waaaaay too long. It was supposed to be a sexy dance, but they went overboard and there were some actually pornographic looking postures in the dance. And, I think they added in a gay couple, or a story that there was a gay couple that I don’t remember as a part of the original story. Unfortunately, the strongest part of the movie was the scenery in Egypt and, second was the costumes which were beautiful. The acting was mostly just ok IMHO. The stress seemed to be on the love story and not on the murder mystery. And, I couldn’t understand half of what the guy playing Poirot said and a couple of the others.

      Ha, ha. I just checked my calendar and my haircut appt is on Wednesday…………………… of next week. At least I would have been early………not late.

      Good mornig, Mom, and thanks for that excellent review. We haven’t been to a movie theater for decades and really do appreciate the subtitles offered for online movies…especially British ones! When we began using subtitles on the few comedy DVDs we own, there was so much more content we had never noticed before.

        Yes, I keep the subtitles on my TV. It really helps with the British shows. There are words they use that we don’t even have. Sometimes the person doing the subtitles doesn’t even know what they said. I even thought while I was watching the movie that I would be glad to watch it at home so I could have the subtitles.

      Thank you, Stella! I like to judge a good day by our doggies. Presently, our Border/McNab is happily napping on his Big Barker. Just got his 2nd replacement cover…he’s such a clean dog that he and everything he owns gets licked to pieces!
