    Looks like the media tried to pressure the Medical Examiner into changing his finding that Capitol Police Officer Sicknick died of natural causes and not from rioters injuring him…

    Good morning everyone. Any early risers out there, today is the last peak day, get out there and watch the show. Pereseid meteor shower. I saw two within five minutes. One site I read said even though the peak is past there will still be some to be seen through the 22nd. Next two years won’t be as good for getting to see them.

    Mornin’ All. Looks like the storm completely missed Florida. We got some rain and a lot of lightning and thunder, but that all came from the east, I think. It is sunny, humid, and normal here this morning. Loki went after something on our walk. Usually it is lizards, but this moved differently. It was a hornet. I got her away from it before she got stung. 😯 Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

      Cher Chez got herself stung on the nose a couple of weeks ago. Seemed to recover without problems.

        I had a puppy, a lab, that I think got stung on the mouth by a bee. Her whole muzzle swelled up and I gave her some Benadryl, I think it was. She survived it. But she sure looked pitiful for a while.

    Soviets got into similar situation. Soviets were attacked during withdrawal and so dispatched more troops to rescue troops. The Pashtun way is always to pursue a withdrawing enemy. This is their cultural-war-habit since the edge of recorded history.

    Many people asking my thoughts on Afghanistan. And why I did not go back. I spent two years all over Afghanistan between 2006-2011. Bottom line: 1) I do not trust civilian or military leadership. Do you? Biden. Austin. Milley. We handled Afghanistan with the same brilliance we handled the pandemic. 2) The United States has cancer. Our borders are being overrun. The pandemic is a distraction. We are being invaded. Cut losses in Afghanistan. We are talking about Afghanistan as if we are talking about going to the Olympics while we are dying from a growing cancer. Afghanistan is a distraction.

      300,000 Afghans the US trained, paid and equipped are not holding back a few thousand Taliban. I believe Afghans have no resolve to save themselves, their women and their children. Sorry we didn’t leave in 2002.

        Johnny Joey Jones explained it on FOX this morning. He says the Afghans are tribal and will fight for their town, but are not willing to die for another town next to theirs. It is a cultural thing. And, yes, I agree, I wish we had pulled out then. And, why in he-double-hockey-sticks we built a 700 million dollar building there instead of one like they live in with a few improvements. Of course it was to put dollars in some people’s pockets. I am furious about leaving all the military armaments there for them to use to kill our guys.
