    Mornin’ Lucille and Wee. Gonna be a hot one today. The sun is so hot the heat is coming through the tinted windows. We are going to try to get over to the Miniature Golf before the total heat of the day. I am making French toast for breakfast so I had better get to it. 🙂 Later, Gators.

    Ludwig von Beethoven “Symphony No. 9” / Herbert Von Karajan (1986 – with the Berlin Philharmonic)

    Symphony No. 9 in D Minor, Op. 125, by name the Choral Symphony, orchestral work in four movements by Ludwig van Beethoven, remarkable in its day not only for its grandness of scale but especially for its final movement, which includes a full chorus and vocal soloists who sing a setting of Friedrich Schiller’s poem “An die Freude” (“Ode to Joy”). The work was Beethoven’s final complete symphony, and it represents an important stylistic bridge between the Classical and Romantic periods of Western music history. Symphony No. 9 premiered on May 7, 1824, in Vienna, to an overwhelmingly enthusiastic audience, and it is widely viewed as Beethoven’s greatest composition. (Brittanica.com)

    Hilarious…but Abrams is lower than a hack. What’s lower than a hack? Well, a good candidate is the kind of person who writes a book then sees that it’s placed in the “welcome” bags of illegal immigrant children….
