It would likely be impossible to run an election without these. The Maricopa County Election team claims they do not have ‘Admin’ access to their voting machines. If this is the case, then the County did not own the election process they ceded it to their external vendor.

This shows that the election was not run by the County, it was in essence subcontracted to Dominion which is likely not provided for in the law. The election function should be run by County election employees, not some subcontractor.

Did Dominion not only supply the machines, but “run” the election, as well?

They may be paying attention to the unnoticed case in Antrim County, Michigan, where one lone citizen with one lone attorney have secured the support of the county and the judge, and are proving all kinds of nefarious doings, most importantly discovery of an illegal MS SQL DBMS on the voting machine server which allows one to control every single vote for every conceivable outcome.
Once others notice what is occurring when permission is given to audit without resistance, it will be obvious to others the same thing that is occurring in Antrim County will also be the inevitable result in all the other places.

Assuming that there is actual worry that the audit will uncover something simple enough to understand, they would just want to create some confusion and make some accusations to throw up a narrative for the apparatchiks to parrot.
It is kind of disappointing that some suspicions fires are not even needed.
