   I love “Silver Bells”. At Christmas time my grandmother would take me into Boston to look at the store window decorations. They really had beautiful scenes thousands of people would come to see. On the upper floors of one of the stores, either Jordan Marsh or Filenes, they had huge bells and ornaments with an instrumental version of Silver Bells playing. There were other Christmas songs, but I remember Silver Bells because of the huge story-high bells hanging off the side of the store. It’s the best Christmas memory I have. Thank God I had the care and influence of my grandmother.
