Good morning, lovely! Peace, indeed! I’ve always loved this prayer and had it read at my mother’s funeral.
As you may have noted, a week or so ago I wrote about needing to get my shoulders back in working order. I was taking doses of Advil and they worked temporarily but when they wore off, the condition–especially in my right shoulder–would return. It was recommended that I stay off the computer for a week-10 days. I did that, mostly (I’m not the best of patients).
Anyway, when I visited the doc on Friday, he mentioned casually for me to go off the NSAIDS entirely as it wasn’t good for my kidneys. I told him I’d do that unless pain got too much. The shoulder had been quite good for a few days prior to my doc visit; so I’d already decided not to ask him for a cortisone shot. We talked over other issues and I left the office feeling good about everything…until last night.
At that time I finally got around to reading my Patient Plan and was going down the list of various ailments and what was happening with them. I came to a halt when reading the assessment for my kidneys…I have Stage 3a Chronic Kidney Disease. I read the assessment several times to make sure I wasn’t seeing things. Shocked, I looked up the condition online and discovered–surprise, surprise–that it wasn’t good news.
For whatever reason I decided to look up all the conditions I’d been complaining about for four years here in Idaho and for a couple of years prior when I lived in Vancouver, WA. Lo and behold, many of them were connected to kidney disease. I’d been trying for years to get my docs to look at the totality of my complaints to determine if they could be attributed to one single ailment. As is the case with many elderly, my suggestions were ignored, with one RN suggesting that several ailments could be attributed to the psychosomatic realm.
My present doctor had mentioned NOTHING previous to Friday about ANY problems with my kidneys, nor did he suggest I start seeing a nephrologist. He did say that I needed to go on a diet, but nothing about a special diet which would be followed if one has kidney disease. At the moment I’m fluctuating between a WHAT NEXT!!! attitude and a temptation to sue my doctor for malpractice. LOL!
So, I’d appreciate a few prayers now and then. I’d love a Divine Miraculous Healing, but that’s a bit much to ask for. Perhaps a segment of a prayer should be about keeping my temper when contacting my doctor. To avoid the outburst possibility, I’ve decided to email him through the regular communication conduit which is used in his office. That way I can read it over, make changes, etc.
OY, LIFE!

Prayers for you Lucille. I am so sorry that the doc(s) ignored you when they should have been listening and if they were listening some of your health issues would have either not been, or been alleviated.
Document everything. Always email yourself a list of questions that you bring with you to the doctor and ask, You get an automatic time stamp doing it this way.
Tell your doctor to step up to the plate, my personal suggestion get a second opinion, no matter what the doctor who gives you the second opinion says just tell your regular doctor that you have a second opinion. Refuse to talk about it any further but present your information.
Call your doctor by his her first name, not Doctor ChiChi.
I have had the same good doc for 18 years, she is wonderful, she always gets me the best of the best if I need surgery. She sees me as human not a number, that is what you need the doc to do. Talk about family get the doc to see you.
Prayers for your healing and for your doctor to see you as you are not as a number.

Thanks for the prayers, lovely, and the advice. There seems to be a doctor shortage in the Idaho Panhandle. Otherwise I’d request a new Primary Care Provider from my insurance company which provides services under the Medicare Advantage program.
I wish I COULD get a second opinion. Unfortunately that’s not the way Advantage works. The patient’s PCP is the only one who can request a specialist authorization from the insurance company; patients cannot. I’m to see my PCP in three months and will ask once again re a specialist.
In the meantime, I’ll do my best to follow advice from the Mayo Clinic website on diet, weight loss, exercise re Chronic Kidney Disease. I know they’re a reputable clinic and will provide reliable info.

Ugh. Sorry Lucille. Prayers. And I’ll also be praying that there be a way for you to see another doctor.

Nine years ago this month, Grant and I stood on that bridge. We had not yet signed final papers on this house, were renting apartment space from our son….so we still have time to be running around exploring the country – our new neighborhood. What a beautiful location that is – at any time of the year.
Something fun/funny happened that day. They had these beautiful reversible, hooded jackets in the gift shop (fleece on the inside) in a variety of wonderful nature color embroidered with Multnomal Falls insignia. I wanted one. Then I wanted two (so he could have one, too). Then we saw the signs that said – whatever the cost was if you bought two (they were expensive), it would be about half that if you bought four.
We realized two ladies in the store were also looking at the jackets. So we introduced ourselves and asked if they wanted to be our friends for a little while so that all four of us would get the great price. They laughed good-naturedly and said that sounded like a good idea. When we got to cash register, having a compulsion to be honest we told the cashier about our new friendship and its purpose. She thought we were most innovative and she enjoyed it all thoroughly.
After the purchase was completed, we exchanged address/phone #s with the ladies and discovered that one of them was already living here in this little town where we would, a bit later, sign final papers on this house and then move in in January 2012.
That was an enjoyable day. Fun people and beautiful things for the eyes.
One of our sons now has Grant’s forest green jacket and I still wear my smoky orange one every winter.

Great story, Sharon. I love serendipitous meetings and subsequent friendships. The falls are so beautiful. Here’s a shot taken further back…

Sharing from my CTH post.
Cute story: My sister called & told me about a conversation between my niece & her Grandma (on Dad’s side). One of the kids asked her who won the Presidency. She replied, “Mr. Joe Biden, and we have the 1st black female Vice-President!” My niece said, “Actually, there’s been a lot of fraud so we don’t really know yet.” Lol! She’s 10!!! So smart!
I didn’t care a thing about politics until President Trump came along in 2015. (In my late 30’s). I went to my sister’s to watch the 1st debate, and my cute little niece was quite upset that she had to go to bed (fake-school night) and couldn’t watch with us.
How much more has President Trump changed little things that we don’t even realize yet?!
The best is yet to come!!!

Yup, it’s up to us to make sure our kids all the way down the line learn and retain the truth, they’ll have to carry on. They, in turn, will have to teach and make sure their children retain the truth aside from the Left teaching them all manner of garbage in school. It’s a matter of surviving until there’s enough true Americans again to retake the country.

Morning Czar,
It’s my opinion that’s where the left made a fatal mistake. They waited out “The Greatest Generation” and for the most part the following generation, but the never considered what we as grandchildren were exposed to. I have not forgotten my small town in Jersey in 1965, what a wonderful time and place to grow up. I wish to preserve at least a small of that piece for my grands.

They’re trying to make it as hard as possible. They’re plan is a USSR 2.0, the society composed of serfs who take their thoughts only from the state while the apparatchiks ride herd and live the life their status affords the, just like the Democrats already do.

Mornin’ everyone. Warm and really humid here. It rained last night not long after dark. I had set it up to pick up groceries at Walmart and had to go out into the rain in the dark. Won’t be doing that again. I don’t like to drive at night and especially in the rain. Hope your weather is good wherever you are but it didn’t sound like it from the weather guessers this morning.

Right there with ya re: hermit, but that has been my status for years. Even my pain doc “sees” me via phone now (no camera here).
Ain’t it great? Even Walmart does my grocery shopping & hauls my cat litter!

Beautiful weather here! Cool and sunny.
I’m praying for those poor people in Central America! They just started with cleaning up after the last hurricane, and now Iota is bearing down on them. A CAT5, 160 mph winds. The devastation will be epic.

Good morning, aus! It’s cold and attempting to rain here. My apartment has cathedral ceilings in the open plan living/dining room/kitchen areas and heating it properly is an off/on-again thing.
Have a great day with your darling doggie. I wrote her name down but don’t remember it at the moment…or where I wrote it down.

Our cabin was hard to heat anyhow, and it had very tall cathedral ceilings in the great room. Our new house has them in the great room and kitchen combo, but they are only 12’ tall. They really look much taller and make the room seem large. I also like the 9’ ceilings everywhere else. The power bills are very low, and we get the benefit of the house looking larger than it is. New house extra well insulated with good windows. Gotta love the cheaper power bills.

I watched the Masters.
For the 😳shot of the tournament, I give you Jon Rahm.
And congratulations to Dustin Johnson ❤️. Rank is number 1 in the world but after watching him have the Whispering Pines win stripped from him, and the grace and dignity which with he accepted it I always am happy to see him win.
And good morning 🙂 !

/ sorry for the long post – a lot of ground to cover.
WordPress hosting?
I noticed some concerns about WordPress hosting lately and I think I read there may be a few posters here who have WP sites.
Before putting up my first website, about 12 years I did a lot of research on web hosting companies.
I finally settled on Host Papa – which I thought was a subsidiary of Go Daddy – turns out it wasn’t.
I currently have a business plan with HP –
Web Hosting Business (CA-WHB-B) Apr/26/2018 – Apr/26/2021 $ 359.64
works out to about $10 a month.
The business plan allows an unlimited number of websites.
Heres a comparison Between Host Papa and Go Daddy
https://webhostingcat.com/hostpapa-vs-godaddy/
Here are some of their features:
Free Extras:
Easy to Use Website Builder
Free Let’s Encrypt SSL
Free Domain Transfer
Free Website Migration
Free 30 Minute One on One Training Session
Free Cloudflare CDN
For the record I am not in any way affiliated with HP, and
I don’t get any kickbacks or commissions on new customers.
I can honestly say that in the 12 years I’ve been dealing with them
the downtime has been almost nonexistent and the support has been excellent.

I have been wondering how much disinformation Team Trump is putting out there.
Answer “a whole lot.”
Jay Sekulow tweeted this article. It is obviously fake even to the lay person, or at least the story itself is full of nonsense. Why would a perfectly reasonable Jay Sekulow tweet it ?
Jay texted it with the tag line “Follow all leads” and the cat is leading the mouse down the rabbit hole.
I actually laughed out loud when I read the “article.”
Of the mob boss the article reads;
“He wants a clean record. He wants to fish and hunt on federal lands. He’d really like a job with the National Parks Service. You need a clean record to get those things,” explains one confidant. “But most of all he wants the thanks of a grateful nation for coming forward.”
