My guess is that this attitude is pretty wide spread.
Bill Melugin on Fox 11 Los Angeles was in the middle of the riots in Santa Monica, Calif., on Sunday, and got the opportunity to interview a looter who was arrested.
“Alright man, we saw you at the New Balance store, why are you out here?” Melugin asked.
“Man, very point-blank … just trying to get some money … simple explanation, that’s it, just trying to get some dough, that’s it,” the looter replied.
“Just out here for the money?”
“Yeah, pretty much,” the looter admitted.
“Anything to do with the protests, what happened in Minnesota?”
“I mean, a little bit to do with that, too … But not really, I’m out here for the dough.”
“Was it worth it?”
“Obviously not,” he said, before offering some really simple advice to others: “If you all going to get some money, do it right. Don’t do it the dumb way. Do it the smart way.”
He was arrested by LAPD.

Then there’s these guys in Cleveland protecting their business with firearms. Notice how the rioters have little kids out front to protect them?

“He was arrested by LAPD.” If he was looting in Santa Monica, why was he arrested by LAPD? Santa Monica is an independent city. Venice, which is south and next door to Santa Monica, is part of L.A. Santa Monica put down a 1:30 PM curfew today and the terrorists are, of course, ignoring it.
Santa Monica is known as an uber leftist city. The rich folks kids think it’s cute to be a “revolutionary” and often Mom and Dad don’t disagree. Like California as a whole, Santa Monica used to be a Republican city.

Have no idea, unless it was an error in reporting.

I double checked. That is what the reporter said – LAPD.
ADD: Taken into custody near Wilshire and 26th St.
