Today I have been dragging my feet, and was tempted not to create this post, but better late than never!
Don’t forget – Call The Midwife returns on Sunday on PBS!
Pandemic or no pandemic, love will find a way—just ask Jeremy Cohen, a quarantined New Yorker who is now dating his neighbor after using a drone to give his phone number to the young woman he spotted dancing on a nearby rooftop.
Apparently the virtual happy hour is now a thing, but this just looks weird to me.
I’m no Fallon fan, but this is pretty funny anyway.
I don’t know what prompted this tweet, but I’m glad that someone appreciates the oldsters (or “wrinklies” as I have also heard it said.)

Thank you for doing this, stella! It always helps my morning!

My DIL is preggers, so I sure hope all in that tweet the Dr. sent out turns out to be correct. Also, I spoke with a woman who has been in the health industry for many years and she said the midwives are getting lots of calls from pregnant women who are being told not to count on birthing their babies in the hospital. Funny, since this is coming from the same group who have always discouraged midwives.
Yay, Call the Midwife is back on. 😀
The Jimmy Fallon tweet was even funnier because my friend told me this morning about 10:00 that she was going nuts having to stay in. We were at the beach week before last the whole week. She has been to the store several times, picked up food, took her cat to the vet, took her dog to the groomer, got gas for her car, came over here and had pizza and a movie with me on Tues, picked up meds at Publix, walked her dog twice every day, and I don’t know what all else since Monday this week. {snort}
I think they really twisted themselves in knots to make Lt. Gov. Patrick sound like he believed in killing old people. I didn’t take it that way at all. What it sounded to me like he said that it was a personal choice that an older person might make. Anyway, here is what he actually said. I had this conversation with my friend who was absolutely aghast from what she heard from her liberal friends.

Great prayer by Charlie Daniels.

I am so happy to hear “Call the Midwife” will return, even if it is an overly politically agendized show!
