Official guesstimates are that just around 390-thousand of the 16-million Americans who served in ww2 are still alive.

Mornin’ Z’s! Not many left, sadly.

I can’t find reliable stats on how many Korean War vets die daily, possibly because so many also served during WW2. There are an estimated 2.25 million Korean War vets left, again many counted with WW2 vets.
Some 2.7 million military served in Vietnam, an estimated 400 are dying daily with an estimated 850,000 remaining vertical.
I tried to find out how many remaining vets served in Vietnam, Desert Storm and the GWOT but VA has no figures, I only can vouch for two.

Good afternoon, WeeWeed! Another great rally with an uber supportive audience. And tonight a repeat REAL EVENT, not a puny campaign stop like the Dem COMMUNIST leader who brings in the brainwashed.
The sun is shining in my window and we’re at 39 degrees, headed to 42 today. Hope you have a lovely day, too!

Mornin’ everyone. Great rally last night, but I thought Trump seemed a little tired. Of course, he had a seriously big day. I hope he got some sleep.

They really hate home-schooling, always trying to come up with how home-schooled kids are somehow inferior to public school kids or some reason why they need to butt into home-schooled kids’ lives. This one kind of takes the cake on the stupidity.

Public school students in the study proved significantly better at performing curl-ups, a metric that measures abdominal strength and endurance. The researchers wrote that could be explained by their daily use of backpacks weighing up to 25% of their body weight, sufficient to engage core-stabilizing muscles.
Or maybe it’s from active shooter drills and curling up in corners of the room?

There study made very little sense to me as much was left out. The only real numbers I read in the article was 20 pushups vs 19. Outside of they were home school vs public school, nothing related to if any were athletes, size, lifestyle, etc., other than BMI.
Was it only boys vs boys?
You could take a group of public school kids and have some stronger than others. Athletes vs non-athletes, heck even 17 year old farm kids vs 17 year old sit on the couch and play video games.
The part about public school kids push past the boundary, what is that even supposed to mean? Did the home school kids follow directions and do the number you told them to, while the public school kids did more?

Yeah, like how in my GGS’s school district they divided the students into just two middle schools – one mostly white and one mostly minority. NGO stats for the mostly minority school makes it look like a 3rd world juvie hall while and many students, white or not, are scared to go to school there.
The state’s got a rather solid homeschooling system, apparently it realizes that if the parents follow a mandated curriculum their children can receive a more solid, if not better, education with a lesser chance of being assaulted by thugs-in-the-making who pollute of public school system. I’ve had two teachers tell me they’re educating their kids outside of the school system as they couldn’t get their kids into what they felt was a safe and competent school.

The one thing I like about our state is home schooling is in our State Constitution and they can’t dictate a curriculum. My daughter is already discovering even at her kids’ young age that the core curriculum is sorely lacking compared to the curriculum she is using. Core curriculum for kindergarten is what her son learned at the age of 4 and some of it is what my granddaughter at age 3 is learning.

I’m not sure there even is a core curriculum anymore. The periodic international test that measures the edjumakshun of 15 year olds will be coming around again soonish, let’s see how much further into the negatives the US has done slidden.

My daughter had a mother tell her the other day she wished she could home-school because her oldest son comes home and asks them all kinds of questions about sex and homosexuality and even asked her about transgenders. She was blaming the other kids whose parents allow their kids to be exposed to everything.
My daughter asked her, “did you ever think it might be the teachers and not the kids? Public schools want to indoctrinate children and twist their little minds that sex, homosexuality and transgenders are normal behavior for adults as well as kids.”
She then started praising the school of being the best in the area. My daughter told her the best compared to other schools, doesn’t mean they’re a great academic school. She told her it’s like picking the healthiest chicken out of a flock of diseased chickens, it’s still sick just not as sick as the rest, but it will still infect your perfectly healthy chickens. That is what the public school system has became, they’re all diseased, some just more than others.”

Yeah, schools largely ceased being educational institutions and became progressive indoctrination centers years ago. Luckily we all get to discuss the school’s indoc attempts with our local GGS so any damages are ironed out quickly.

Public school faculty truly believe “their” responsibility is to produce good citizens by their definition of good and citizen, it no longer has anything to do with education. I sympathize, I spent many an evening “un-schooling” my four sons. My youngest is an aspie, we homes schooled him for two years in the middle of elementary having no other choice since the new breed of teacher could neither handle him or adhere to the 504 plan.
When a teacher though having the rest of the class decide if he should be disciplined was the final straw. He asked if he could return to school for the 5th grade feeling he was missing something and upon his return he shot straight to the head of the class and has been a National honor roll student ever since.
I am proud to say he is currently spending vast amounts of my money attending The Savannah College of Art and Design….ummmm, yeah proud dad here!

Great for you, that’s the way to do it! We’re spending time ‘unschooling’ our GGS too, at least he finally managed to get into a school where English is regularly spoken and there weren’t muggings in the hallways.

A Letter to the 2,000 Anti-Trump Ex-DOJ Lawyers: Where’s Your Outrage to These 27 DOJ-FBI Crimes?
Posted February 19, 2020
After Attorney General Bill Barr intercepted the excessive 7 to 9-year sentence against Roger Stone last week, over 2,000 former DOJ lawyers released a signed letter demanding AG Bill Barr resign.
In response to the anti-Barr outrage letter, a legal assistant in Orange County, California, by the name of Selma Kerren, is demanding the lawyers in question release an equally outraged letter condemning the 27 crimes and frauds perpetrated by the FBI and DOJ against the American people; many of which were begrudgingly declassified by FOIA requests and exposed by the recent Horowitz Report.
