I guess one of the disadvantages to being an old-school-military retiree is the inability to grasp the modern changes. To wit, both the Army and the Air Force have adopted uniform changes that allow Sikh and Moslem soldiers and airpersons to wear head coverings and beards in line with their religious beliefs. Both Sikh and Moslem military will be allowed short (2″) trimmed but not sculpted beards. Sikh soldiers can wear turbans while female Moslem military can wear the hijab, no definite word on how this will translate into combat zone headgear but regulations (which are sure to be challenged in court) are being worked up.

The AF helped grease the way for this years ago when it allowed worship space on the AF Academy grounds for Wiccan and Pagan worship services. The rest of the military was dead set against accommodations that damaged uniformity, especially beards that threatened the seal on gas masks, but along came Obama and his crew of nihilists and here we are. Let’s see if, as with the Dutch military, next next move is to allow the military members to unionize.

So the antifa types have invaded our little town, and we have found our police chief (officers) have feet of clay. A Minor was slapped in the face and a adult punched in front of the polling place, and the Trump tent/signs torn down. The police came over talked to the thug and let him go!

I’m asking dear hubby to go to a meeting this weekend that was supposed to be about something else, but I’m wondering if the police chief can be recalled. My comment on the Grok is under TOG&C, but the & did not show up right.
Dear Hubby was inside when this was going on, and did not even know it happened. I was too sick to go last night.

BTW DH is getting an MRI of his pancreas right now any prayers would be appreciated.
Hope everyone is doing well. Miss you all!

    Senate Session
The Senate meets to consider judicial nominations and begin debate on a war powers resolution that would limit U.S. military action against Iran.

Apparently this resolution is likely to PASS in the Senate. I have seen Republicans like Mike Lee speaking with DIM dopes like Tim Kaine. Given what we have seen recently I would NOT want Senate in charge of anything.. and the House is a joke. I might take this move seriously (limit a President) if they had done stuff like this to check an out of control Obama… but of course they did not.

      Hey Rumpole,

I immediately thought of this scene when President Trump gave Alexander Vindman’s brother the boot right along with him!

      Hit them where it hurts…

If only POTUS could go Corleone on the vile filth working against my country.

I’m going to find out what the hell happened here!

      Let me clue you in Senator;

He starts with a T and ends with a P.

I watched a (little) bit of the Senate debate. Rand Paul actually made a good case. His examples were all about What Obama and others did, rather than Trump, and I do agree that in general ( if things not imminent) Presidents should run plans for war (big military action) through Congress… if you had a PROPER Congress and not just a bunch of partisan hacks like Schiff, Naddler, Pelosi etc who would be out to make political points… leak info to the enemy if they could make a buck. AND THE POINT REMAINS….Congress gave Obama a pass, so this move is likely more to do with TDS than a legit concern for the Constitution.

I didn’t watch any of the Senate debate. It was disingenuous from the get go. It had nothing to do with our country or the Constitution and everything to do with pansy ass rhinos and rats thumping their little mouse chests. Most of the republicans do not like President Trump or his take no prisoners persona, all they like is his coattails.

Thankfully they are foolish enough to think that they have President Trump fooled. Just recently PDJT said “I’m pretty good at reading people.” << That is the understatement of his presidency.

The time to bring up what 0bama did was when 0bama did it. But not a word was said when 0bama launched was against Libya of his own volition. Launched a war in Libya to remove Kadaffi from office by aiding the same Islamic terrs that we were fighting in Iraq.

Previous presidents have brought in the top Dems and Reps in Congress and briefed them on what was going to happen and why. No 0bama.
Gutless in the face of 0bama and now gutless in the presence of 0bama’s minions. The same goes for the other 7.

Here Are the 8 Republican Senators Who Voted With Dems to Pass War Powers Measure

The U.S. Senate voted Wednesday to advance a War Powers resolution which would limit President Donald Trump’s ability to use military action against Iran without approval from Congress.

The vote was bipartisan, 51-45, with eight Republicans voting with Democrats. The eight Republicans included Utah Sen. Mike Lee, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, Maine Sen. Susan Collins, Tennessee Sen. Lamar Alexander, Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy, Kansas Sen. Jerry Moran, Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, and Indiana Sen. Todd Young.

President Trump will likely veto this War Powers measure just like he did last year.

The vote was bipartisan in that 8 RINOs crossed the aisle to join the Democrats. But as usual, there is never bipartisanship in which the Democrats cross the aisle to vote with the Rpublicans.
