      There used to be some narrow side canyons off of Ogden Canyon in Utah that would fill up with snow. Snow there was a drier snow so you’d get these huge, puffy drifts and overhangs and the rocky sides of the canyons would be covered so that aside from a tree here and there everything was covered in a smooth blanket.

      The air was clear and it was so cold you could taste it, you hesitated walking in/on it because you didn’t want to damage the beauty of it. Yeah, I do miss it sometime.

    Woo Hoo! My Maga (looks suspiciously like Legos) ‘The Border Patrol Kit’ and ‘ ‘Build the Wall’ kits arrived! I have no intention of opening/assembling them, the boxes are graphic enough, but in the unlikely event of alost liberal/progressive/DemocRat dropping by I’ll just wave the boxes at Ze/Hir. Gonna be tough keeping my GGS’s hands off of them, just may have to buy him some.

    It looks like Florida and close states are in for some weather. Our area could get 3″ or 4″ in a couple of days, tonight and Sun thru Mon. It is really overcast right now. No sun. It is a little chilly out but not too bad. I guess the power going out last night was just a reminder to put new batteries in my flashlights.

    GREENLAND – LAND OF ICE

    For this short film I travelled to Greenland with my drones several times. Always with the target of a certain region in a certain light situation. The shots from the calving glacier took me 4 days at the Eqi Glacier and over 70 battery charges for only 4 usable shots of a few seconds. It’s a very hard intention to film the very right moment on a glacier front of about 6km wide – especially close up. But the hardest thing of flying in Greenland is the fact, that every 2-3 minutes the difference between the magnetic north and the geographic north (which are not the same place – especially so far north) causing a fatal p-gps flight error and the drone is flying away (also the camera’s horizon). But at the end every single flight was worth it – filming Icebergs from above is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever done. Additionally I used the drone to scout the landing spot and look for polar bears. The best thing for bears and humans is to not meet each other on shore. – Stefan Forster

          Now here I’m wondering if Google is anti-semetic. Out of all the emoticons, Santa stuff and all, I can’t find one single menorah. Oh welllll

          So I take it you guys are visiting with family in MS?

          Have spent my time in southern Mississippi as a young lad. Loved the Friendship House on 90. My big memory though was monster Camille in 1969. She wasn’t as large as Katrina, but was a helluva lot more powerful. Camille up hurricane ally east of NOLA would have been in incomprehensible catastrophe….there would have been a lot more levee breaks and fatalities. To this day I say, whew, God spared NO the worst of the worst. They still aren’t sure about the final wind speed because the storm destroyed their equipment.

            No, we moved up here after K, both the wife and I had enough of the city during K and quit. We still have property there on the Westbank but it’s changed 180-degrees and I wouldn’t live there again if they paid me.

            The city pushed for national recognition of its post-K plight and, among other things, brought in movie and TV production. Things like Treme and NCIS New Orleans had thousands of outsiders moving here. Now the city’s complaining and whining that the millenialization of Treme is rapidly destroying the culture there. The dining and music scene’s changed, the city’s regional accents are disappearing and it’s becoming a non-stop festival city in the style of an adult Disneyland. City’s rapidly changing what made NOLA NOLA.

              I knew u guys spent time in MS but I guess I didn’t realize you lived there. I guess reading about you having farmland should have clicked my brain…duh on me. 🤪
              Well good on ‘ya for a smart move.

              I hate to hear the city has lost so much of its original flavor. It was indeed, quite unique, the city as it was that I remember in the 50s and 60s, even partially in the 70s. It’s rather haunting in a good way to remember those days.

              The lunch counter in the downtown FW Woolworth’s where I met George Barris in the 60s. Walgreens 2nd story eatery overlooking Canal Street. Hmm…wondering why food comes to mind. Kolb’s, Leo Miller Jewelry, Maison Blanches Christmas window with Mr. Bingle, the Sanger, Lowe’s, the 500 pigeons always on that corner of Canal St. and Carondelet St where you’d get off the streetcar…Fitzgerald’s out on the Lake, so many good memories.

              Btw, my bil is very involved in the big boom of restoration of houses in the Garden District and the Magazine St area that seems to be in a great revival…and keeping the original flavor of the area. That’s one of the few bright spots.

    People are debating whether or not President Trump has been impeached because Nervous Nancy refuses to send the articles of impeachment over to the Senate.

    Harvard Law professor and Impeachment participant Noah Feldman says that POTUS has not been impeached because part of the fulfillment of impeachment is sending the articles of impeachment to the Senate.

    Jonathan Turley who argued during the coup circus that the impeachment was illegitimate believes that the process of impeachment is fulfilled even without proceeding to the Senate.

    Rabid partisan hack Laurence Tribe sides with Turley.

    Alan Dershowitz believes that President Trump has been impeached but that Nervous Nancy is acting unconstitutionally.

    While Dershowitz repeatedly states that President Trump is impeached he also states this;

    “President Trump would stand accused of two articles of impeachment without having an opportunity to be acquitted by the institution selected by the Framers to try all cases of impeachment. It would be as if a prosecutor deliberately decided to indict a criminal defendant but not to put him on trial.”

    Stand accused?. Accusations are not guilt, Dersh himself argues this point often, he is rarely sloppy with his words and if there continues to be an untimely delay in Pelosi sending the articles of impeachment to the Senate I lean turn Desh’s option evolving.

    Anyhow I have been thinking about this and both viewing points. And I think, possibly, that they are both right.

    It is similar to when you get a ticket. The ticket has been written but the recipient has a court date for a day in the not so distant future. The police officer who wrote the ticket has to be at court or the defendant walks and the ticket is voided, not on the record so it is as if it has never been. The defendant no longer has a ticket for this particular traffic violation.

    So I think the only thing to argue over is how long Nervous Nancy has to get the articles of impeachment to the Senate before the impeachment is voided. By law it can’t be an open timeline there has to be a limit or due process is voided and we get into denying a defendant their civil rights.

    We now have a pending impeachment.

    My 2 cents.
