Yes it is. President Trump handled it all so well, we killed an evil dangerous man, we would have told the democrats of our plan but they would have blown it.
All in all a beautiful day.

Got Halloween costumes for our GGS (usual Spiderman) and new GS (werewolf). GS’s costume is due to Mom going as Little Red Riding Hood.
Even as a kid I couldn’t work up much enthusiasm for dressing up and going candy begging, just never appealed to me then and still doesn’t. When my oldest sons were small and we lived in that – then – small Utah town I liked it as the older residents spent days baking and not only had things for the kids but put out a spread for the adults who accompanied them.
Nellie and Ada, both old enough to have come thru the canyon with Brigham Young, but as old as they were they still tended a large garden and a small orchard. They canned all of their winter vegetables and preserved the fruit from their orchards and that preserved fruit, along with hand-ground red wheat, went into the various tasty, freshly-baked, things they handed out. Oh yeah, freshly made hot chocolate too. That was worth it.

Kindergarten through 6th grade we always wore costumes to school for the day. More often than not I went as a princess. The entire school day was fun-and-games, plus any reading or educational exercises usually had Halloween themes. Trick or Treat was a group thing. It was extra fun because we got to stay up until 9:00 PM. LOL!

Oh lordie, forgot all about that. Our teachers used to host a Halloween party for the last hour of the class day…that was then but this is now.

I can’t remember Halloween except for when I was around 7. I remember going with my parent (don’t remember which one) and some other kids to this street. It was full of kids and their parents on each side going from house to house. And, I remember going in an old couple’s house where they had hot chocolate and goodies. We came home with huge grocery bags full of candy.

I remember how many of the treats were homemade, like popcorn balls and fudge.

When I was a kid there were two older women in our neighborhood who made treats. One made candy apples, sometimes they were caramel apples, and the other one made popcorn balls. My dad sent us out to get those first and then we were free to go get the candy that we wanted, dumb little kids that we were.

When I was in my late 20’s and on a health kick, I didn’t like giving out candy. There were a lot of kids in the neighborhood at the time. I made popcorn and took napkins and put a handful of popcorn in one and twisted the corners. I did that for a lot of years and then decided the kids probably thought it was stupid and gave out something else. Later, one of the kids that lived next door said they were all so disappointed because they always looked forward to the popcorn. LOL

I don’t give out treats at all any more, although I did up until the past few years. In this neighborhood we must get at least 200 kids, because parents in our neighboring community, Detroit, bring their kids to our streets; there is practically a traffic jam of cars dropping off the kids.

My apartment complex has a big Halloween party. The kids can go door to door, but they don’t. They shouldn’t. People come and go here all the time, so we don’t get to know our neighbors really. Anyway, the rule is, if you want to give out candy you leave your light on. Nobody does.

Back in the days when we could trust the folks giving it out. I remember when they started offering free candy x-rays at local hospitals.

The 1950’s in OK City I am sure my father took me around the block, dressed, but I recall little of it. In the 60’s we lived in a neighborhood with blocks and blocks of tract houses which we roamed everyday on our bikes and skates, and for Halloween we dressed in costumes we made from stuff around the house and went house to house with a group of friends for hours, carrying brown grocery bags. After we got home, my brothers and I traded with each other for favorites, after my mother examined the hoard for foods not wrapped at a factory. She would never let us have apples, or popcorn or baked treats unless we ate them at the houses of friends, scaring us with stories of razor blades and poison.
One year I remember taking a long length of exotic satiny fabric and making a sort of sari. It dragged on the ground and I turned my ankle several blocks from home. Kept going tho, through the pain, to get my candy. My father was very upset, thinking I had ruined my ankle, but it got ok after cold soaks.

Oh, yes, yes! As a kid, Halloween was always my favorite holiday, even more than Christmas or Thanksgiving (except for when we had one or the other holiday at my paternal grandmother/grandfather’s house). Grandma loved Halloween and she and her best friend, Mrs.Cobb (funny I should remember her name), would go Trick or Treating by themselves. Wonderful women.
Grandma died in 1950 in Ventura, CA. But I will never forget her coming out of her front door, arms wide open to embrace my sister and me as we ran to her. She was “grandma” looking, too…gray hair in a bun, a long cotton dress with a shawl, black high top leather shoes and always with a bead necklace of some kind. She collected silver Roosevelt dimes, which was a new thing (1946) and she would show us the huge jar she kept them in plus let us go through her jewelry box, occasionally letting us wear the necklaces or even take one home. Yes, you do miss your loved ones who have gone on before…all the rest of your life.

What awesome memories Lucille 🙂 ! We always went as a large block of kids, we knew everyone in the neighborhood and people invited us in for home baked goods and warm drinks. We trick or treated long after dark, we knew it was time to go home when folks would empty the last of their candy into our bags.
My cousin and I were always the two youngest of our group and always got the most candy.
Lot s of good memories.

Once our junior high (7-8 grades) school principal approved of “bop” and “rock” we were able to dance to this…and slow dance to Fats Domino’s “I found my thrill on Blueberry Hill, on Blueberry Hill when I found you”…and “Donna” by Ritchie Valens whom we loved because he was from southern California and not some eastern U.S. state we cared nothing about…LOL!

Ritchie was from Pacoima, CA which is in the San Fernando Valley of “Valley Girls” fame. We knew he was Mexican (no one used the term “Mexican-American” then), but not that his real name was Valenzuela.
Actually I was in high school when “Donna” came out…my mind was slipping a bit there. It was a great song to dance to. The teacher chaperones had to come around to tap the boys on the shoulders if couples got too snuggly. LOL!

Original color, really a rich cream, slight overtones of yellow-orange. It’s sunny, and easy since it will require only one coat to cover. I get overwhelmed by too many patterns and colors, so the whole house is that color, except Czar’s office, which I painted the colors of his camoflage uniforms.

I started on Thursday by spackling, dusting and removing electrical/AC vent covers, & removing all the pictures & hanging things on the walls. Friday I started washing walls. Still got washing to do, but had to clean up the tall ladder so I could get up high. Next is blue tape the edges of things. Hope to start painting by mid-week.

I have always painted exactly like you describe. When my eyesight was better I could use a brush to cut in, running a bead accurately. Now I always tape. However, I have been reading up on edgers and apparently they may make them better than the one or two I discarded back in the day.
I am thinking about trying this out. Be sure to watch the short video if you are interested. If this works like it looks like in the video, I might not be spending hours and hours taping again, and it also might keep me off the ladder and my hands and knees. If you have two people painting, because it is very important to roll into this while it has a wet edge, it should cut your painting time way down.

There is a tiny little brush that is adjustable along the edge of this to be sure you get a straight line right against the ceiling, trim, whatever. In corners I always just use my favorite four inch roller.

BREAKING—- KUWAITI ANNAHAR NEWS: ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi IS DEAD! — KILLED IN US RAID
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2019/10/syrian-annahar-news-us-raid-isis-leader-abu-bakr-al-baghdadi-is-dead/
President Trump will address the nation at 9AM (Eastern) Sunday morning. Minutes from now.
After the removal of the pieces of al-Baghdadi US forces blew up the entire compound so that ISIS cannot make it into a memorial.

Some of what President Trump said about Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi ;
He died while running into a dead end tunnel whimpering and crying and screaming all of the way, he died in utter fear, in total panic and dread in total terror of the US forces bearing down on him — he killed his own children, children he was using as human shields.
Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was a vicious, violent, sick, depraved, brutal coward, who died like a dog whimpering, screaming and crying, he died like a coward. The world is now a much safer place. He didn’t die as a hero he died as a coward and he brought 3 children to certain death with him.
A treasure trove of information about ISIS was recovered.
Russia, Turkey and Iraq cooperated with US forces and opened air space to the US no questions asked. (Election interference? Wait for it.)
So different from when the vile terrorist puppet Obama chastised Americans for celebrating the death of Osama Bin Laden.
No US casualties.
President Trump did not notify Pelosi and many others due to their tendency to leak. <<I love our President more and more every day.
100% win.

More dead fighters than live but some of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s men were captured. Treasure trove of intel.
A reporter asked our President if he could hear Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi whimpering in the video of the event.
President Donald J Trump ”Well I don’t want to say but he was screaming, crying and whimpering he was scared out of his mind.”
And not one to ever let a reporter win with innuendo PDJT continued “Look for those who think this was violent, look at what he (Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi) did to James Foley, Kayla Mueller, think about the men in the orange suits and the ocean, think about the Jordanian pilot put in a cage and set on fire burned alive.”

Did this all really “just fall into place”? Or, going back to the announcement the US would pull out of northern Syria leaving it for others to protect and patrol, was there a strategy to leave it open for ISIS to return so we could kill the big guys like this? They certainly showed up promptly when they heard we weren’t there…..

Hard to know. I’m of the firm belief that President Trump has ears and eyes everywhere and he is a master at manipulating situations to the American advantage.
President Trump has since he was candidate Trump always said the he knows more about his enemies than they know about themselves.
Remember not far into the campaign Trump said that Anthony Weiner would be the lynch pin in the Clinton email debacle. Turned out to be true. President Trump “predicts” a lot of things.
“A storm is coming.”__President Trump
The fact that PDJT did not trust one prominent democrat with a heads up about the raid is very telling. The democrats are locked out. It is that simple. Good.

Comey on Trump Winning in 2020: I’ll Be at ‘My New Home in New Zealand’
‘Our leaders cannot be people who lie all the time’
This is about Nicole Wallace’s interview of James Comey (video at link):
https://news.grabien.com/story-comey-trump-winning-2020-ill-be-my-new-home-new-zealand
EXCERPT:
WALLACE: “There was recently a New York Times article — I don’t want to summarize it, but you are standing in your living room in the picture. You talk about your life and what you want for the country and for the end of this presidency. Do you wanted to come sooner than later?”
COMEY: “Change in the administration? Yes. I am optimistic that even if there is not in impeachment proceeding, the American people are going to pass judgment on what kind of country we want to be. We have strong disagreement on policy grounds. I don’t care what your views are. Her pew articulate and defend and listen. That’s important. But we have something in common and I said it with the first question you asked. We have a set of values that hold this place together. I tried to explain to kids something that most of you know, we shouldn’t exist. We don’t have the normal human glue that holds a country together. Common ancestry, language, faith. We have nothing in common except a set of values. That is the glue that holds Republicans, Democrats, independents together. I think the American people are alert to the threat that is above our policy disagreements. Guns are important. Immigration, abortion, taxes. Above that is something we have in common. Our leaders cannot be people who lie all the time. They just can’t. I hope people see that is true whether they are Republicans or Democrats.”
Comment by a Facebook acquaintance (a woman):
I was there in the front row. I was trolling him the entire time—laughing out loud when he mad outrageous comments, and calling him a liar. It’s the LEAST I could have done for General Flynn after the HELL he has put that family through. I triggered a libtard sitting in back of me so
Much he kicked my chair hard, and the lady next to me called security.
No doubt in my mind after seeing him up close—He is a total Sociopath.

Three short stories I remember friends of Bill’s telling…
When Hillary and Bill were visiting Arkansas (don’t remember if it was pre- or post-marriage), one female friend volunteered to drive them somewhere. She said the surprise at seeing such an unkempt person with Bill, who had been very popular in town, was enough…but added to that, Hillary stank so bad the smell stayed in the car even after they had gotten out.
2nd story…Hillary had her brother follow her fiance, Bill, around town to get the goods on him and his affairs. Apparently she was involving surrogates in her schemes even then and perhaps using blackmail, threats to keep those she wanted to rule in line. (Note: wouldn’t you simply say goodbye to a fiance you didn’t trust and had to keep tabs on? Honestly!).
3rd…One day after Bill/Hill married, his mother was shopping when she saw Bill’s former fiancee. They hugged and cried together, his mother saying how much she wished Bill had married her rather than the intensely unlikable Hillary.
LikeLiked by 5 people
1) I’ve read that Hillary had a foul odor about her and that many people noticed it 😕.
2) Hillary was never interested in Bill as a person she was interested in him as a means, she didn’t care who he slept with she recognized his star power and ambition and wanted to be attached to that for her own personal gain. (Sickening and inhuman goes back to Hillary being a sociopath.)
3) Never heard the story about the fiancé but I do wonder what Bill’s life would have been minus Hillary, I think Bill had potential for great good or great evil, he chose evil when he chose a lesbian who gave him free reign with other women so long as he obeyed her rules of advancement.

I absolutely believe that. Not one ounce of real human emotion in them. Politics is like an unguarded candy store for sociopaths. It is the favored career path for them all. And why not? I have said for years, especially since Obama was elected, that we American citizens are at fault for not diligently and promptly exercising the responsibilities of that citizenship in controlling our elected officials.
Not enough people vote, not many know the issues and about 95% really have no idea what those criminals are doing. They don’t want to. Too lazy.

That would be a great idea for a post. How did you meet the love of your life? Or special moments, memories, etc.

Yeah, Stella, set that up one day!

Ah well, just in case I forget…
We ‘met’ through a mutual friend. She was dating someone else at the time and I was going through a particularly irritating divorce.
Our friend found out that a newly built support facility for a nuclear fuel reprocessing facility was tossing out all of its leftovers so he thought it would be a good idea to go over and see what was salvageable. He invited us separately and we all showed up.
It was just a group of about 4 or 5 people going through yard of construction debris until she and I ended up loading cinder blocks into a car’s trunk and she, possibly with malice aforethought (never definitively determined) maneuvered one of my fingers between the cinder block and the uncushioned, steel lip of the trunk.
We both have (I had, I’ve become much more stodgy) a bit of a comedic theatric about us so we spontaneously went into this ‘You have to raise your finger above your head” and “No, the blood has to drain down to the ground!”. “UP!”, “NO DOWN!” – and on it went to the amusement of everyone whose finger wasn’t mangled, throbbing and threatening to fall off.
That was it, just those 5 pain-filled minutes, nothing special but that was our first meeting until about a month later when our friend rounded us up, with others, to work a benefit haunted house. Her job was to lie on top of a pool table like a corpse ( method acting – she just pretends it’s 10:30m PM and she’s ready to zonk out) while I was to lie under the table motionless (I was a Federal employee at the time so it was no big stretch) and grab peoples’ ankles.
We had down time and chatted, she inquired on how my finger was and if I needed any more mangled but aside from that it was just two co-workers killing time.
I really can’t remember if we met at all between Halloween and Christmas but our friend was throwing a Christmas party and invited us. I wasn’t doing much but getting divorced so with time to kill I accepted, plus the city was dry and he had booze.
I remember, clear as if it happened 5 minutes ago, walking into the front door (it was at night) and looking to my right where there was a small group in a small, lit room that had a few people in it. She was sitting on a couch talking to the guy she was dating and it was as if she was the only person in focus and the light in the room was on her. As I looked at her there was a voice in my head that clearly said: ” You are going to marry her”.
She was relatively new in town, I was still picking shrapnel out of my soul from my still-dissolving marriage and I didn’t even remember her last name. Our relationship, if you can call it that, consisted primarily of her causing me great bodily injury and my trying to keep the fingernail from dropping off. Our primary personal interaction was laying in wait for unsuspecting people and scaring the hell out of them – something we still do quite well.
From there it went as if we’d been together for a long time, despite people giving great odds we wouldn’t last more than 30 days. They saw us a polar opposites, some even as a latter day crosses between Bonnie and Clyde and Charlie Manson and Squeaky Fromme – and those were people who sorta liked us. It just went on despite bumps that came, we just sorta worked right over them in the course of discovering that we were the only two people in the world that could stand to be with each other for more than a short period.
We were together for about 2 years before she got a job in New Orleans and decided to move. I could either stay or go and as I scouted around and weighed my options a job showed up there for me and I made the decision to move. I decided to uproot, move and that’s been it ever since.

We haven’t made an episode of Snapped or Killer Couples so I think we’re pretty well there.
As we’re both divorced, early on we decided that the only viable option we really had instead of divorce was to lock ourselves in a room with a Luger and winner take all. As neither one of us relishes the cleanup that would be left…

Actually we agreed that dividing up the critters would be too traumatic, so we stay together for them. Oh, and we really like each other.

How did you make out while building your house? If my husband and I make it through selling the cabin (that part’s done, praise God) and finding and buying a new house, surely we can make it through a nuclear attack. Always before we have been so similar in our goals and wants and needs. This time we have just enough difference of opinion that, thrown in with the stress of the situation, life is more interesting than I am accustomed to.

Laot of concessions on both sides, but we mostly went with each other’s strengths. Czar had wants and needs for the kitchen, makes sense. I won on color choices: since I lived with white interior for 25 years it was my turn to choose. He did a lot of research about building materials. I wanted a pergola and rougher exterior style. Stress over how long it took and a couple of maddening delays. I looked at it as an adventure. Learned alot!

We seem to have weathered the worst of the storm and are now in agreement again, although I just let him pick a couch fabric that was about my fourth or fifth choice. However, It was in the pile of samples that I was okay choosing from and brought home for him to see, so I can live with it. That’s my longtime technique, pre-screen everything I can, only show him the choices I can live with.
Most men do not care to select furniture and stuff like that. I have to deal with one who wants to be in on almost all of the home choices. It has its pros and cons.

Care About Impeachment When They Have 67 Senators
by Kurt Schlichter – Column for Monday, October 28, 2019
You can see how this will all end. You can see that we are going to mop the floor with these petty fascist cretins.

lilbirdee12’s prayer:
Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.
Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.
Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.
Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.
We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.
In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

A prayer for Justice Kavanaugh and Gen. Flynn:
Prayer to St. Michael
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle;
be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do you, O prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan and the other evil spirits
who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.
In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
