    I have machinery with tubeless tires and it’s continually throwing the tires. I was taking them down to the tire shop where they’d charge me $5 to $10 to fix them. I’d take them home and in a few weeks they’d throw the tires again.

    I decided this time, as the chipper’s tires were shot, that I’d try something new…I’d fill the tires with expanding hard foam. I was looking at buying new rims and tires anyway so why not play with the ones I was going to throw away?

    I dusted off an old Engineer trick to get the tire back on the rim, inflated them drilled 3 equidistant holes in the tread and fired a can of the foam into each. Worked like a charm, I have 2 functional tires again for the price of 2 cans of foam (an almost $200 saving) that ain’t gonna be falling apart.

    I also have hardened foam on my feet that’s driving the dog nuts, she’s trying to ‘flea’ it off and huge wads of it that expanded out of the tire and onto our lawn. Next the riding mower tires!

      When I sold Marvin Windows we got a call on a job that the sashes would not close. Went out to the house and believe it or not, sheet rock had not been hung yet so it was easy to identify the problem. The owner had decieded to use spray foam to inulsate around the windows and doors. He had bowed in the jambs and it was as obvious as a hand in front of your face, but called us for a warranty claim.

    Just outside with our GGS, it’s dead dark with a clear sky and we can see the Milky Way. While we were out there a new pack of coyotes on our east side opened up so it’s back to the battle of the pests again.

    8) Naomi Osaka continues to show mad tennis skills and social grace at the US Open. How refreshing after years of Serena Williams’ boorish court side conduct.

    After beating Coco Gauff on center stage Naomi graciously invited Coco to share in the after match interview.

    9) Dawn.

    10) Damien Rice, beating back severe depression every day and getting up to fight another day.

    Sometimes he is simply too beautiful to listen to.

    Afternoon all. I was wiped out after a travel day. Left 109F with 9% humidity for 89F 64% humidity. I’m not sure if I’m cold or not. The initial feeling is like being in a tepid sauna.

    GGS is about all over the gippy guts. Interesting that our old old dog, who was with him since he was a year old, spent the morning sleeping on the bed with him, licking him ‘clean’ every now and then though he did have a bit of a fever and I wonder if she was cooling him down?

    The oldish golden lab/hound mix is curled up on the couch with him now. She’s been with him since he was about two.

    The 40-pound terriorist-spring mix, who’s only been with him for about 3 years, sleeps overwatch on the back of the couch. They make sure someone’s with him whenever he’s not feeling well.
