FOR WHAT IT’S WORTH.
As usual with such events, there is a lot of information floating around out there – some of it true, some of it intentionally made up, some of it is probably just mistaken. As with any crime witnesses, some are just mistaken about what they think they saw. We will probably never know which is which.
One example I saw this morning is a supposed “My Life” page for Patrick Crusius, age 21, showing that his political party is “Democrat”. I looked at My Life too, and found one that said he was a Republican. It was deleted from the site a few minutes later.
Legitimate information on Social Media has been scrubbed, or is in the process of being scrubbed. In these cases, social media is more disinformation than a source of information.
This is info that I found on the internet, most through friends on social media. I can’t vouch for every single piece of information:
The father is a new-age alternative therapy addiction counselor [There is a Brian Crusius who is an addiction counselor.]
Don’t know what the mother does, but she owns the house which looks pretty nice and in the 400k range. [Not confirmed by me] The grandfather was a WWII vet and worked for Exxon, and he has an uncle who was an English professor. [Some seems to be true. Timothy Crusius is a retired English Professor. Retired Professor]
He also has a twin sister and an older brother. This is not the profile of a rabid racist Nazi type. This is a highly narcissistic loner kid who never worked, did not own a car, and lived at home with his parents who have no political affiliation that I can find, but sound new age-y Democrat like Marianne Williamson. In other world a mom’s basement dwelling millennial nutter. [I haven’t vetted all of this. Some seems true from grandfather’s obituary. Some is just opinion.]
We’re not talking about the KKK, or white supremacists. They are fairly well educated and well off. Uncle Timothy has written a book available on Amazon. [Professor Timothy Crusius does have a book available on Amazon. The rest is mostly opinion.]
And here is the grandfather’s obituary. Useful because it names the siblings and cousins. Blake, Emily and Patrick (the shooter) belong to Bryan and his wife Lori. [Seems legitimate. I confirmed information about Milton W. Crusius on Ancestry.com.]
CRUSIUS, MILTON WOOD, 80, a retired explorationist, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2003. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Thursday at Parkdale Cemetery in Arlington. Milton Wood Crusius was born May 9, 1922 in Mobile, Ala. He served in World War II from 1940 – 1945. A gunner’s mate first class in the U.S. Navy, he was awarded the Victory Medal, Pacific Theater and American Theater Ribbons. Milton graduated from the University of Texas in 1949, where he was elected to Sigma Gamma Epsilon, an earth science honorary fraternity. He worked for 30 years for Exxon as a geophysicist and a technical writer. He authored a book and several papers on the geology of Texas. Milton married Lois Lorraine [Lovell] Crusius on June 14, 1947. He was for many years a Boy Scout leader. A devoted Christian all of his life, he served in many capacities in Baptist churches. He will be dearly missed by family and friends. Milton was preceded in death by his wife, Lois; mother, Georgie G. Ranew Crusius; and five sisters, Hazel, Vera, Sarah, Catherine and Ruth. Survivors: Sons, Dr. Timothy Wood Crusius and wife, Elizabeth of Dallas, John Bryan Crusius and wife, Lori of Allen; grandchildren, Austin, Micah, Rachel, Blake, Patrick, and Emily Crusius. Arlington Funeral Home 1221 E. Division St. Arlington, TX 817-548-1791
He does share a few things with that shooter at the garlic festival, both obsessed about how corporations and overpopulation were destroying the environment. That’s more in the AOC —New Green Deal Camp. I think it goes along with the left’s dehumanization of ordinary people and blaming humans and their selfish consumption for destroying the planet. So to me you could call him an eco terrorist as much as anything. [This could be true, IF the manifesto we have seen is legitimate.]
Patrick Crusius graduated high school in 2016, records show. He enrolled in Collin College in the fall of 2017, according to the college, and was enrolled as a student until the spring of 2019. [Oshkosh Northwestern]
I found a Facebook page for a woman who might be Patrick’s mother, using her maiden name. In her pictures is a son named Blake (Patrick’s brother). Right number of kids in the family, lives in same location. I’m not including her name or a link.
From the Los Angeles Times:
Leigh Ann Locascio, a former neighbor, said Crusius was an extreme loner who always sat alone on the bus in junior high and high school. He spoke negatively of other kids who played sports or joined the school band, she said.
She described Crusius as “very much a loner, very standoffish” and someone who “didn’t interact a whole lot with anyone.”
Her son, Tony Locascio, walked to school regularly with Crusius and his sister. Tony Locascio said Patrick Crusius only walked ahead of or behind them, never interacting and always keeping to himself. Crusius liked animals and kept pet snakes. “He wouldn’t talk to people,” Tony Locascio said. “No one really knew him.”
As you probably know, there has been another shooting (copy cat?) in Ohio.

Hm. All interesting. I am concerned about people like him being incited to do this kind of thing by the eco terrorist mindset being pushed.

“The father is a new-age alternative therapy addiction counselor [There is a Brian Crusius who is an addiction counselor.]” Whatever does this counselor do, teach, train, believe?
This is certainly not a disparagement of all counselors…but the fact is I’ve known on a personal or business basis a number of children of psychiatrists or psychologists or counselors and also counselors themselves. The children were messed up and the professionals were strange and several presently are ardent Trump and Trump-supporter-haters and were slavish toward Obama. Make of it what you will.
At one point after learning of a serious health issue, my M.D. advised that I see a psychologist to help with the anxiety over the diagnosis. I went several times and found it strange–to say the least–that on occasion the counselor actually dozed off while I was talking. I sat and watched her until she woke up. LOL! That still makes me laugh.

Ah, no thanks, Dr. Crusius (testimonial: “Bryan gives excellent energy treatments”). I suppose in the future we’ll see him on the lecture circuit like the mother of one of the Columbine killers.

Bryan Crusius is a member of a weird closed off church. https://twobirdschurch.com/user/sacounselor747/

Seriously, y’all got to check this website out, really weird Native American religion? And WTF does their motto “When the eagle and the condor come together in harmony, there will be peace on Earth” mean anyway?

On the FB page that I think is his mother’s (maiden name), I was looking through the photos with comments. She hardly ever mentioned Patrick, but lots about his brother, Blake. I wonder if he was an outcast in his own family.
