I noticed that he gave a shout-out to Maurene Comey (Jim Comey’s daughter) on the prosecution team.

Ya, something is def not right with this indictment, Maureen Comey being only one of many probs.
You should know I have been labeled a Democrat troll by the next-door neighbors b/c I suspect this is all aimed toward Pres Trump, and concurrently an attempt at redemption for SDNY’s current bad rep.. Bad habits die hard, I spose.

I imagine that there will be attempts to tie President Trump to Epstein (there already have been on social media). Doing so legally is another matter, since President Clinton has more exposure here than Donald Trump. Also, it appears that President Trump cooperated willingly with lawyers who were going after Epstein, and a rumor that Trump barred Epstein from Mar a Lago because of something Epstein did or tried to do with a minor girl at the club. Starting at 5:00:

All that being said, I am glad that Epstein is finally being prosecuted. It was fishy business what was done in Florida in 2007, where he entered into a non-prosecution agreement with Federal prosecutors and was allowed to plead guilty to a lesser state charge, for which he served 13 months in prison.

These charges, if he is found guilty, could put him in Federal prison for the rest of his life – 45 years.

It’s noted that many folks are calling Epstein a pedophile. That’s not correct.

Hebephilia* is the strong, persistent sexual interest by adults in pubescent (early adolescent) children (especially those showing Tanner stages 2-3 of development), which is typically ages 11–14.

It differs from pedophilia (the primary or exclusive sexual interest in prepubescent children),[1][2][3] and from ephebophilia (the primary sexual interest in later adolescents, typically ages 15–19).[1][4]

While individuals with a sexual preference for adults may have some sexual interest in pubescent-aged individuals,[1] researchers and clinical diagnoses have proposed that hebephilia is characterized by a sexual preference for pubescent rather than adult partners.[1][5] (WIKIPEDIA)

    *It’s pronounced heeb.fill.e.ah

I do have to say that Epstein has a most smug, punchable face. A man without a conscience, and it definitely indicates a personality disorder. When you have such a disorder and are rich, it’s not surprising that Epstein’s behavior will be one of the results.

Another thought…don’t Planned Parenthood and radical female groups imply that sexual behavior of pubescent teens is supposed to be “anything goes” as long as it feels good and fulfills their sexual needs? Is anyone going to connect the sex teachings of PP and the Girl Scouts, for that matter, with the type of open sexual encounters between two people no matter their age that Epstein and his victims represent?

PP teaches it’s OK to get pregnant and have an abortion at any viable age. Other groups teach that sex doesn’t have anything to do with “responsibility” or “morality” but only with satisfaction. No wonder these confused female victims accepted Epstein’s propositions in the first place. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard teenage girls say they think there’s nothing wrong with sex for money.

Having moral underpinnings is verboten in many of our institutions of learning, and are in fact made fun of. Teaching morality is increasingly becoming illegal in such settings. Children being left on their own to do what they want, will often choose to do what segments of today’s society encourages. They don’t think of consequences because they haven’t been taught there will BE any consequences.

Such behavior of adults toward children has likely gone on since the days of Cain. In eras when morality WAS taught, this criminality happened. It happens today in Islamic Shariah society where old men marry pre-pubescent children. And I have no doubt that it is happening this day in America. Yet they will never be prosecuted.

Don’t get me wrong…I believe Epstein should be put away for the rest of his miserable, sick life. But when are the enablers going to be called out?

If I were Epstein and facing kiddie diddling charges and time in a Federal (hereinafter referred to as FEdeRAL) pen I’d be trading info like mad. He can try to delay his trial until after November of 2020 in hopes he’ll be rescued but if the Reds fasttrack his case he’s looking at being jailed for something for which he’d best start buying Vaseline and face bandages right soon.

I’d like to see him cough up info on who was on those party flights to that Caribbean Neverland Ranch, maybe those stories about Bill are true.

Reminds me of the persistent rumor that, during Operation Just Cause, a Special Operations unit was sent to one of Noriega’s party bungalows to retrieve a stash of video tapes.

Story was that Noriega would throw big parties there, attended by US politicians, bankers and businessmen. There’d be food, drinks, drugs and hookers of various genders and ages. The US wanted those tapes so El General or his replacement wouldn’t have leverage once the invasion was done.

The rumor surfaced early on, I heard it in January, and popped up on and off until Desert Storm sort of made Just Cause history.

WHy now? Who would care otherwise? The girls knew what they were doing, took the money, did it over and over. How many were virgins when they DECIDED to agree, take the money, and voluntarily play sex games with the rich guys? Does anyone actually think a 14 year old girl is not capable of deciding what she wants to do with her body. The law is the criminal here. It is antiquated and unjust. I see a few real upsides here. It could, hopefully will, lead to the arrest of a lot of very rich, powerful Democrats. ANYTHING that puts a powerful Democrat in jail is a good thing. And since there are so many potentially hundreds of very rich people who could be found and charged, those people will be fighting this law. So, this case may put the law on trial. It is time for those laws to be changed. Otherwise, I suspect the charge is a convenient way to bring huge pain and fear to certain, known, Democrat targets, and of course morality has nothing to do with the real reason this is happening now.

What he did was wrong, and he deserves to be punished. I’m sorry, but I won’t let stand comments about very young girls that amount to “Well she wore short skirts so she deserved to be raped.” Nope. Won’t stand for that.

A 14 year old girl (or boy) has an immature brain, which is manifested by poor decision making. It is up to adults to make the correct choices in such situations – not the teenagers! Besides, he knew what he did was illegal and immoral and he did it anyway. He isn’t a teenager, but a fully grown man. He took advantage of minors to gratify his sexual appetites. He deserves to go to jail. Some of these kids were reportedly as young as 12. Do you have any 6th or 7th grade children or grandchildren? Would it be okay if they were yours?

Regardless what you think about the law, it is the law. He knew that and thought that his rich and powerful friends would protect him. He was wrong about that too.

Frankly, in this case I don’t care about the timing or the politics. If the law is followed he (and hopefully some others) will go to jail.

It is NOT time to stop protecting immature teenagers. It is yet to be determined just how many participated in prostitution willingly or via coercion here on the mainland and in the U.S.V.I. in this fetid case.

I suppose the Islamic rape gangs in England were perfectly fine, too. The criminals lured young women with trinkets and promises of boyfriend devotion. What they got instead was forced rape, some up to 30 times a day. No “good times” there.

At any rate, Epstein is a sick old creep. If the laws are changed because of his disgusting behavior, there’d better be a national outcry against joining in with perversion rather than keeping it at bay as much as humanly possible.

An absolute NO to your “progressivism”!

Stella…I just ran across something quite interesting and ask if you’ve seen anything on the reason AG Barr recused himself re the Epstein case?

I really don’t know much of anything about the YouTube proprietor for the Amazing Polly channel. A relative from Canada sent me something of hers a couple of months back. Just now I started listening to her take on the Epstein case so far.

Bill Barr’s FATHER (Donald Barr) is mentioned as having hired Epstein, a college drop-out of 20 years old, to be a teacher at the prestigious co-ed Dalton School in Manhattan. It would be a highly unusual move for such a well-known school to hire a non-college grad–who couldn’t hack it as a college student–to teach physics and calculus, would it not? Headmaster Donald Barr later left the school under strange circumstances of some type.

The school had originally been an all-girls school. I just wonder about Donald Barr’s interaction with the female students and if Epstein had somehow found out about some unlawful interaction of Barr’s, thus beginning his career as a blackmailer? Just speculating here obviously. Now I’m going back for a full listen to the YT.

Anyway, if you’d like to listen to Polly…here’s the YT:

I don’t know. Barr has stated the reason that a law firm that he later worked for had defended Epstein, so there is a potential conflict of interest.

Donald Barr was headmaster at Dalton School from 1964-1974. Epstein did teach Calculus and Physics there from 1973-1975. Epstein was 20 years old in 1973. I suppose he was hired by Donald Barr, but I don’t know that. Dalton is one of the top private schools in the country, and I believe it has always been coeducational.

Epstein was hired by Barr, according to print media articles she posts onscreen. The subsequent headmaster was let go for moral reasons. It’s a very complex story with LOTS of people connected to people who are connected back to the original person. Definitely a 6 Degrees Of Separation story.

I was disappointed in the end that she seems to be anti-Israel and thinks the Mossad may be involved, etc. She seems anti-Zionist. Still it was a very interesting viewing.

There were two fires on Little St. John which were apparently underground, perhaps destroying lots of evidence and the rumored underground chambers used for ??.

Epstein also is connected to the Bronfman family, one of which was involved in that crazed cult of bondage and trafficking…Nxivm.

“Nxivm: Seagram heiress Clare Bronfman pleads guilty in ‘sex cult’ – BBC”
        https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-47996207
“Apr 20, 2019 – Nxivm: Seagram heiress Clare Bronfman pleads guilty in ‘sex cult’ case … Six people in total have been accused of being involved with Nxivm, … group mirrors a pyramid scheme, in which members paid thousands of … Mr Raniere, 58, was arrested in Mexico last year on sex trafficking charges, and is being….”

A very tangled web of international criminality. I’d wager that those sex trafficking across our southern border are connected, maybe remotely, to Epstein.

Anyone who thinks Epstein will roll over and give evidence on others involved with him is going to be disappointed. Not that he cares one whit about any of them; but with his “not guilty” plea, it means he’s going to maintain that stance for the years this trial will take, IMO, of course.

I don’t think there’s anything about Donald Barr that is suspicious. If he did hire Epstein, and he probably did, it seems that Epstein was a math genius and probably came cheaper than a graduate. Article said they were having financial problems at the school. As it was, their overlap was only one year.

There is bound to be a lot of speculation and, frankly, writers and YouTube producers go with the sensational and the “maybe” true stuff for clicks and views. I watched Stefan Molyneux tonight and stopped 2/3 of the way through, because I know some of what he was saying probably isn’t true.

Manhattan society is surprisingly insular and everybody “knows” everybody. At least they go to the same parties and the same clubs. Doesn’t mean that there is any meaningful connection between them. Donald Trump knew Epstein both in New York and Palm Beach. Doesn’t make them buddies, in my opinion.

My feeling is that we should wait and see what happens next.

      From Donald Barr’s obituary:

When he became head of the Dalton School in New York City in 1964, his strict disciplinarian approach brought him into conflict with the board of trustees. This and budget disputes caused him to leave in 1974, but he was soon hired by the Hackley School in Tarrytown, New York, where he received stronger support from parents and was able to boost programs in academic subjects and the arts. He wrote about his approach to teaching and his views on parents’ roles in his Who Pushed Humpty Dumpty?: Dilemmas in American Education (1971).

Read in another article that Epstein was a “mathematics genius”, and did well at Dalton. Also said that Epstein’s mathematical skills caught the eye of Bear Stearns’ chairman, Alan “Ace” Greenberg, whose son attended the Dalton School. Greenberg hired Epstein as an options trader and the former teacher was able to amass a fortune.

It’s possible that’s the true story. But I think caution is called for re taking anything written about him and what a genius he is…and carry a huge grain of salt around with us. In one of the stories I read, someone indicated they never saw him work while he was supposedly this genius making money for himself, his clients, and friends.

          From Wikipedia:

In 1976, Epstein started work as an options trader at Bear Stearns, where he worked in the special products division, advising high-net-worth clients on tax strategies. Proving successful in his financial career, Epstein became a limited partner at Bear Stearns in 1980.

In 1982, Epstein founded his own financial management firm, J. Epstein & Co., managing the assets of clients with more than US$1 billion in net worth. In 1996, Epstein changed the name of his firm to the Financial Trust Company and, for tax advantages, based it on the island of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Seems he was working. Anyway, once you’ve made money, you put your money to work for you, unless you’re a fool. I don’t think he’s a fool.
