    My friend forgot his confirmation name and had to contact his childhood church to get it as he needed the name to get married in the church of his choice. It turned out the confirmation name that he chose was David.

    He chose David because it was his middle name and it would be easy to remember.

    White House hopeful Andrew Yang was largely a nonfactor at Thursday’s presidential debate, but the political novice afterward blamed his scant airtime on technical difficulties.

    Speaking to supporters following the debate, the Silicon Valley businessman leveled an accusation that the debate’s producers had cut off his mic when he wasn’t speaking, thus robbing him of the chance to interject as other candidates continuously did throughout the night.

    “There were also a few times, FYI, where I just started talking, being like, ‘Hey, I’d like to add something there,’ and my mic was not on,” Yang told his fans. “It’s not like if you start talking it all of a sudden takes over the convo. It’s like I was talking and nothing was happening.”

    Good morning all. I actually got some staining done yesterday on the back porch. I’m pretty excited about that. If you have any deck or porches to be stained, I highly recommend Cabot’s stain. I’ve always bought good stuff, but never had one I like as well as this one. Excellent coverage and a beautiful finish. It is going to save me a lot of time with the coverage I’m getting.

      That’s just camera problems associated with 2 dimensional representation. If you see the entire clip of the arrest you’ll see that his gus’s pointed between the two ranks straight at Ayoola. That’s the SLC SWAT team and they weren’t about to screw this up on what would assuredly be a national feed.

        I thought that was a possibility and there is the gap, I was surprised he was so far behind his team, it almost looks like he would have to shoot through the gap?

        What about the guy on the far left he is paying no attention to the perpetrator. Watching for other rats?

          He’s probably leaving room for reaction time. If the guy makes a break for it he’ll probably run forward as that’s the most open spot and a bit of distance gives him time to react. The other out guy is probably going to cuff him but is probably looking out for anything going on outside of the immediate group.

          In all I’m betting this was more of a perp walk as the question of why they didn’t make a dynamic entry and cuff him inside or, if he came out, why they didn’t immediately cuff him where he exited? Then again it’s a hi-profile national case and optics never hurt.

      The shelter in our county participates in this. It is trying to become a no-kill shelter, and to meet the higher standards. They have a very ambitious spay-neuteer program. We support them with donations every year, and participate in fund-raisers & legislative activities. A huge thank-you to the northeastern states who embrace the animals who cannot find homes around here!

    I just drank my first kombucha. It is “GT’s Enlightened Gingerade Organic Raw Kombucha”.

    I’m remaining open, but I think it tastes musty. Is that normal?

      I started out with a bit of stomach upset, and now I feel better, so there is that. Is there a way to mask the flavor? I suppose I could add other fruit juice. Or booze.

        Mix it with your unsweetened tea. A little at first, then increase kombucha as you gain a taste for it.

        I think you will learn to like it. Your body will like it, and you will want it more. It is great for stomach ailments, and experts say it even helps when you have food poisoning.

        I can now really tell a difference when I skip my kombucha and kefir. Soon I’m starting vegetables, as soon as I get the staining finished and have a little time. Right now I just can’t stand the thought of one more thing on the to do list.

        My DIL is now getting kefir from me for the grandsons who are autistic and rotten eaters, per her doctor’s instructions. She hides it in their chocolate milk.

          I have had commercial kefir before, and liked it. My problem with that is lactose intolerance, as I now have severe reactions to even small amounts of lactose. I can take the tablets, but I don’t know that I want to eat or drink something every day that may cause digestive problems.

      Keep trying other flavors until you find one you like. Look for flavors that match juices you like. And you don’t have to drink the whole thing at one time. Maybe drink a third a day. I don’t know about the store bought ones, but the ones I make are alive, so they will keep getting more sour, even after refrigeration, although at a much slower pace. I try to drink a batch of homemade in under a week.

        I did drink about half of a 12 oz bottle (it said two servings on the label). From what I read on line, this particular kind is one of the better commercial kombuchas. The reason I bought it is to see what it is like before trying to make it myself, if I do.

          I like mine better than store bought usually. It takes a little trial and error to get it how you like it, IMO. Mine isn’t fizzy because it gets too strong if I try to do that. Taste it as you go, taking some out after a couple of days. You may hate the taste if you let is brew as long as they say to.

          Try second ferments, adding fruit or citrus peel, which not only flavors it more, it also ups the potency I believe. I also like putting in a cinnamon stick. Finally, if you hate it or don’t enjoy making it, which is really so little trouble, you can just toss the scoby out or give it away.

            You’ll get new baby scobys pretty quick, so you can try a couple of different flavors at once if you want.

            Also, I forgot to mention this. There is such a thing as water kefir, which is supposed to be very good for you. With your lactose intolerance you might check that out.

        None of them give a rat’s butt about Khashoggi. The obsession with the “Khashoggi story” is based solely in their favorite thing, trying to make President Trump look bad.

        The MSM does not like that Saudi Arabia (whiles still barbaric) through the Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman is dragging its feet into the 17th century because it makes President Trump look good.

        I think, and I’m pulling this figure out of my memory so I could be wrong, but I think President Trump’s relationship with the royal family in Saudi Arabia goes back 37 years. He has a personal, professional and working relationship with the hierarchy of SA and he knows exactly who the Crown Prince is. He also knows that the Crown Prince ordered the brutal murder of Khashoggi.

        But President Trump also knows exactly who Khashoggi was and that he wasn’t a journalist, he was a spy for the forces woking against bin Salman and the more moderate members of the Saudi hierarchy.

        Saudi Arabia is good not to have as an enemy it can bend the course of the Middle East. Any small steps out of its barbarism even if they are teeny tiny steps are better than no steps or regression.

        Under Trump’s presidency our relationship with Saudi Arabia has improved and SA is spending more money within the US. Of course the MSM does not want us to have a good relationship SA. So the MSM wants to push its agenda that President Trump loves dictators, because it wants to damage President Trump.

        So that is why the MSM is obsessed with Khashoggi. Because they hate Trump, America and patriots.
