Wikipedia:

Arthur Betz Laffer (born August 14, 1940) is an American economist and author who first gained prominence during the Reagan administration as a member of Reagan’s Economic Policy Advisory Board (1981–89). Laffer is best known for the Laffer curve, an illustration of the concept that there exists some tax rate between 0% and 100% that will result in maximum tax revenue for government.

What took ’em so durn long?
Actually, Mr Laffer deserves the Nobel Prize in Economics, and it is a durn shame Mr Laffer never received it.

Mr Laffer was in Uzbekistan last week with the Rumsfeld Fdn, working with young people in Central Asia emerging from the oppression of socialism/communism.
At 79 years old, Mr Laffer seems as determined as ever to continue spreading the joys of free/fair markets and liberty. Lord willing, Mr Laffer will continue for many more years.

I agree! He seems like a lovely man, and any friend of Dick Cheney must be a good guy. I admit I have a genuine fondness for Mr. Cheney; it’s a weak spot.

Did not know about Dr Laffer’s and VP Cheney’s friendship. Good to know, ty.
Speaking of which, have you been following daughter Rep Lynn Cheney? #3 in the House, and very well-spoken; quite impressive. imo Rep Cheney is rumored to be running for Senate. Big things ahead for that young lady.
