My poor old gal had ear mites! I had some in date ear drops from the last case so her ear is looking good. 5 more days of drops.

She is doing well, ear mites seem gone, at least her poor ear is sparkly clean, but she still needs the drops and the ear wash.

still chugging along
every day, another treatment going on it seems
started immuno therapy to replace chemo…slower, but less invasive and more direct.
have great team of docs and specialists
now, my wife probably needs as much prayer support with having to put up with me.
doggies just come and cuddle…but I know they want food …. just like kids, but they are not so demanding and difficult.
Thanks to everyone for support and caring.

There is something to be said for chugging along, not the ideal, but still here to love Mrs. Joshua.
I’m sure it isn’t easy but I’m also sure that the Mrs. had her hands full with you even before you got sick. Something about you indicates that you have an impish side.

What’s amazing, to me, is the ability of dogs to just adapt. They have no ability to abstractly deal with prosthetics, they just do. There’s also the mind boggling issue of 3D printing…you imagine it on a computer and viola, there it is. Now military units can deploy with field-capable 3D units and even print out equipment parts than can be hardened in a furnace and popped into the end item. Kids growing up now just shrug it off, it’s what they just see. With us just think back about what we grew up with decades ago – remember Dick Tracey’s wrist radio?

Did you see it in its formal Japanese fighting dog regalia? They fight now not drawing blood but like dog sumo wrestlers. If I were sure I’d last another 10-12 years I’d get one.

I didn’t read about it. Just looked at what a handsome dog it is, but a sumo wresting dog! That is very cool.
Maybe you could adopt an older dog? You guys seem to have a way with making all of the critters feel so welcome and loved.
And I sure hope you’re here for more than another 12 years!

Awesome dog, I just finished reading about them.
The mental agility is their hallmark. Whiner and growlers are losers and if one takes three steps backwards in a match they are also a loser.

They wrestle without drawing blood and keep at it until one yields. They have all sorts of Tosa-related event complete with costumes and pageantry.
I know of a rescue site but we’ll see…

Really awesome. I had no idea that dogs could fight this way.
