This Lieu guy is going into dangerous – for him – territory.
There is no sentence in the U.S. Constitution that guarantees the right to abortions nor gay marriage.
Does Lieu really want to go down this road? Bring it.
Now crime stats. Rosenstein is in Los Angeles as we speak. Rosenstein spoke to LA LEOs yesterday and quoted those same FBI/DOJ stats.
Do these people ever pay attention to anything?

Now this Raskin guy is going down the stare decisis road. Dear Lord please, bring us Amy Cohen-Barrett. She moderated a panel on this at the Fed Society recently, and beat them all, hands down.

By george, methinks you are correct. Great point. This hearing serves no other purpose than to throw some red meat to their ravening hate-mongers, as a catharsis for them as well as for these imminently stupid elected yugely failed prosecuting attorneys, which is where they obtained their early training.
