    10 lovely things about today 🙂 .

    1) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8AWFf7EAc4&frags=pl%2Cwn

    Jeff Buckley.

    2) Thomas Wictor writing satirically as if he were Nathan Phillips ”My sense of duty made me become the first transreality marine in American history”😂

    3) Rep. Dan Crenshaw continues to stand tall.

”Mr. President, you did what you had to do. Now House Democrats will be forced to debate border security and not a shutdown. And I’ll be on Homeland Security Committee to do just that.”__Rep. Dan Crenshaw

    4) Another Liberal Rag is shellacked and forced to publish an apology for posting fake news.

Here is the apology from The Telegraph (UK)

”Following last Saturday’s (Jan 19) Telegraph magazine cover story “The mystery of Melania”, we have been asked to make clear that the article contained a number of false statements which we accept should not have been published. Mrs Trump’s father was not a fearsome presence and did not control the family.  Mrs Trump did not leave her Design and Architecture course at University relating to the completion of an exam, as alleged in the article, but rather because she wanted to pursue a successful career as a professional model. Mrs Trump was not struggling in her modelling career before she met Mr Trump, and she did not advance in her career due to the assistance of Mr Trump.

We accept that Mrs Trump was a successful professional model in her own right before she met her husband and obtained her own modelling work without his assistance. Mrs Trump met Mr Trump in 1998, not in 1996 as stated in the article. The article also wrongly claimed that Mrs Trump’s mother, father and sister relocated to New York in 2005 to live in buildings owned by Mr Trump.  They did not. The claim that Mrs Trump cried on election night is also false.

We apologise unreservedly to The First Lady and her family for any embarrassment caused by our publication of these allegations.  As a mark of our regret we have agreed to pay Mrs Trump substantial damages as well as her legal costs.

    Yowza! That’s gotta sting.

    5) The Hollywood elites, blue checks of Twitter, politicians, MSM are trying to mitigate their culpability by citing Covington school officials for so publicly rebuking of their own students.

Mitigation like this belongs in the courtroom, by using it now all they are doing is admitting their own guilt while pointing their finger and saying “He made me do it!!!”

As President Trump says ”Some people are dumb.”

The gang of ghouls is also making a bunch of non-apology apologies.

”CNN says there was a “rush to judgement” on this. That was true on its part, my part and the part of many others, including school officials, who guided public opinion. I apologize for my characterizations of the students in general, but still have questions about their behavior.”__Al Cross

    6) Glass Art by Liuli Gong Fang Nine Dragon Fish

    7) Simple white rice, butter and salt.

    8) ”Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy.”__Leo Buscaglia

    9)

The beautiful rocks stealing the show at Glacier National Park.

    10) WHILE NO ONE WAS LOOKING: Trump Just Nominated 51 Judges At Once… __@BFT_Podcast

While the media obsesses over the government shutdown and continues to smear innocent Catholic kids in Kentucky, Trump is continuing to work and get things done. In fact, he just nominated a massive number of judges.

    The Washington Examiner reports;

Trump nominates 51 judges at once, enough to fill one-third of all court vacancies

In a sweeping move to further influence federal courts with conservative picks, President Trump on Wednesday renominated 51 judges who saw no action in the last Congress.

    Good Morning Everyone!

Beautiful art images everyone, love your “positive today” posts Lovely. I had to smile at white rice butter & salt. I’ve been having that lately, as I am no longer allowed yeast. My attempts at learning to make quick breads were sometimes useful as door stops, but I’m getting better – they are now edible 😉

Here is one of the Clyde Aspevig river series paintings I held back waiting for the appropriate time, it is his frozen river painting:

It may be frozen, but I don’t think it is a good surface for learning to skate:

Have a great day everyone 🙂

The GOOD HOUSEKEEPING poster is interesting…Gouverneur Morris was a founding father (https://billofrightsinstitute.org/educate/educator-resources/founders/gouverneur-morris/) and so I don’t think he was writing for the magazine…LOL!…maybe someone found a long-lost mystery novel manuscript that was being revealed for the first time in GOOD HOUSEKEEPING’s novel and short story section…haha!

Another person listed as having an article in the GOOD HOUSEKEEPING issue, Osa Johnson was a woman who should be studied by the so-called feminists of today, for she was truly ahead of her time, yet stayed in keeping with what is thought of as feminine/womanly not politically feminist.

Strangely enough a day or so ago I took a bio of the Johnsons off my shelves for a re-read. Married at 16, she and her husband, Martin, traveled the South Pacific and Africa making films showing worlds now long gone, Osa working as his equal partner and not a tag-along wife. I remember watching their films as a child, and I found her wonderfully fascinating.

This doesn’t surprise me at all that a teacher would be behind it. One thing I’ve learned during our state’s apple war is that the majority of people teaching our kids are the worst kind of progressives. I have thousands hard copies and electronic copies of their personal and vile attacks on people on FB, while using their real names.
I would have argued just a few years ago we don’t have teachers like that in our state, so if you have these kind of people in a conservative state I can only imagine what you’d have in California.

I was talking to one of my kids’ old teachers one day. He was telling me that although as they years progressed more and more teachers had an agenda, there still were many teachers who were just as naive as the kids and without knowingly brainwashing kids they were doing so just the same and in the process were being brainwashed themselves.

From a Facebook friend who was recently released from FB jail. He has the max number of FB friends (5,000) and is very outspoken, a conservative who is in the advertising business (many years):

    WHAT I DID WHILE GAGGED.

OK, Kids, Gather ‘Round. I’d Like to Tell You a Story.

I have been active at LinkedIn about as long as I have been here at FB.

But, at LinkedIn, I have always had a rule. LinkedIn, I reasoned, is a business site. It’s like being at the office or visiting a client at his office.

Therefore, I made a point (maybe a few times accidentally broken) of never discussing politics or controversial social questions.

I don’t think I was a milquetoast, and I wasn’t afraid to speak out on business questions – especially on advertising and marketing –

but I didn’t indulge my delight in the inflammatory, and commentary that sometimes even here overstates my pointed views a bit.

So during my most recent FB Timeout (it’s not my first one, by the way) I followed my self-imposed rule over at LinkedIn.

But then the GILLETTE Man-Bashing spot hit.

That was a business topic after all. And it was right in the center of advertising, MY business.

So, fuck yeah, I let lose on that one. (I’ll republish a few here later) I let lose in my usual unrestrained fashion and it went on for a coupla weeks. (I’m still at it occasionally.

Not only that, having spoken out unabashedly on that subject, I started attacking all the political and social and general American Lefty Bullshit I excoriate here to the best of my abilities.

    WELL GUESS WHAT

Once it was Chandler Unbound at LinkedIn, I didn’t reap the whirlwind.

I reaped about five new friend request every goddamned day.

INCLUDING the guy who is the Creative Director heading the group at GREY ADVERTISING that created the GILLETTE Man-Bashing spot.

I thought it was pretty cool of him. See, there ARE a lot of cool people out there on both sides and every side of Big Questions.

Guess what also, rather than costing me business (which I’m sure my outspokeness HAS) I ended up being asked by potential clients or joint venture partners to meetings, drinks, and lunches.

I’ve already had drinks at THE PENINSULA with a really smart and successful guy as a direct result of saying what I thought, and damn the consequences.

I may have learned exactly the wrong lesson from all this.

But, I am going to consider that to be the lesson anyway.

The hell with people who can’t handle having their world view challenged.

They aren’t worth whatever you might have made by doing business with them.

There are enough smart, successful people on your True Side of The Aisle not to need their business.

And, anyway, I think the good people, the quality people, the smart people, on every side of an issue, will never hold it against you for expressing your viewpoints well and intelligently.

Even if you’re pissed off when you do so.

That’s pretty much how I’ve always acted – or acted up –

    for worse or for better.

    See you in court.

Further, there is no appeal on FB. Don’t every bother writing to contest being sent off the island.

There is no mechanism, and no staff assigned, to listen to any contest.

      It is all on automation.

Some day in America, we can see it coming, the legal and judicial system will be robotized.

You will be arrested by robots and tried before a robot judge.
Which will be a one way trial, with nobody listening except you.

Then you will be sent by self-driving armored car to an automated prison untouched by human hands.

    Original author unknown

To all the people who let this election break up families and friends let this sink in: I think the last civil conversations we had occurred just days before November 8, 2016. You were supremely confident Hillary Clinton would win the presidential election; you voted for her with glee. As a lifelong Republican, I bit down hard and cast my vote for Donald Trump. Then the unimaginable happened. He won. And you lost your freaking minds. I knew you would take the loss hard—and personally—since all of you were super jacked-up to elect the first woman president. But I did not imagine you would become totally deranged, attacking anyone who voted for Trump or supported his presidency as a racist, sexist, misogynistic, homophobic Nazi-sympathizer. The weirdness started on social media late on Election Night, as it became clear Hillary was going to lose. A few of you actually admitted that you were cradling your sleeping children, weeping, wondering what to tell your kindergartner the next morning about Trump’s victory. It continued over the next several days. Some of you seriously expressed fear about modern-day concentration camps. Despite living a privileged lifestyle, you were suddenly a casualty of the white patriarchy. Your daughters were future victims; your sons were predators-in-waiting. You threatened to leave Facebook because you could no longer enjoy the family photos or vacation posts from people who, once friends, became Literal Hitlers to you on November 8 because they voted for Donald Trump. I admit I was a little hurt at first. The attacks against us Trump voters were so personal and so vicious that I did not think it could be sustained. I thought maybe you would regain your sanity after some turkey and egg nog. But you did not. You got worse. And I went from sad to angry to where I am today: Amused. As the whole charade you have been suckered into over the last 18 months starts to fall apart—that Trump would not survive his presidency; he would be betrayed by his own staff, family, and/or political party; he would destroy the Republican Party; he would be declared mentally ill and removed from office; he would be handcuffed and dragged out of the White House by Robert Mueller for “colluding” with Russia—let me remind you what complete fools you have made of yourselves. Not to mention how you’ve been fooled by the media, the Democratic Party, and your new heroes on the Never Trump Right. On November 9, you awoke from a self-induced, eight-year-long political coma to find that White House press secretaries shade the truth and top presidential advisors run political cover for their boss. You were shocked to discover that presidents exaggerate, even lie, on occasion. You became interested for the first time about the travel accommodations, office expenses, and lobbyist pals of administration officials. You started counting how many rounds of golf the president played. You suddenly thought it was fine to mock the first lady now that she wasn’t Michelle Obama. Once you removed your pussy hat after attending the Women’s March, you made fun of Kellyanne Conway’s hair, Sarah Sanders’ weight, Melania Trump’s shoes, Hope Hicks’ death stare; you helped fuel a rumor started by a bottom-feeding author that U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley slept with Donald Trump. You thought it was A-OK that Betsy DeVos was nearly physically assaulted and routinely heckled. You glorified a woman who has sex on camera for a paycheck. You have learned all kinds of new things that those of us who didn’t willfully ignore politics for the past eight years already knew. For example, we already knew that illegal immigrants were being deported and families were being separated. Some of your behavior has been kinda cute. It was endearing to watch you become experts on the Logan Act, the Hatch Act, the Second Amendment, the 25th Amendment, and the Emoluments Clause. You developed a new crush on Mitt Romney after calling him a “sexist” for having “binders full of women.” You longed for a redux of the presidency of George W. Bush, a man you once wanted imprisoned for war crimes. Ditto for John McCain. You embraced people like Bill Kristol and David Frum without knowing anything about their histories of shotgunning the Iraq War. Classified emails shared by Hillary Clinton? Who cares! Devin Nunes wanting to declassify crucial information of the public interest? Traitor! But your newfound admiration and fealty to law enforcement really has been a fascinating transformation. Wasn’t it just last fall that I saw you loudly supporting professional athletes who were protesting police brutality by kneeling during the national anthem? Remember how you fanboyed a mediocre quarterback for wearing socks that depicted cops as pigs? But now you sound like paid spokesmen for the Fraternal Order of Police. You insist that any legitimate criticism of the misconduct and possible criminality that occurred at the Justice Department and FBI is an “attack on law enforcement.” While you once opposed the Patriot Act because it might have allowed the federal government to spy on terrorists who were using the local library to learn how to make suitcase bombs, you now fully support the unchecked power of a secret court to look into the phone calls, text messages and emails of an American citizen because he volunteered for the Trump campaign for a few months. Spying on terrorists, circa 2002: Bad. Spying on Carter Page, circa 2017: The highest form of patriotism. And that white, male patriarchy that you were convinced would strip away basic rights and silence any opposition after Trump won? That fear has apparently been washed away as you hang on every word uttered by James Comey, John Brennan, and James Clapper. This triumvirate is exhibit “A” of the old-boy network, and represents how the insularity, arrogance, and cover-your-tracks mentality of the white-male power structure still prevails. Yet, instead of rising up against it, you are buying their books, retweeting their Twitter rants and blasting anyone who dares to question their testicular authority. Your pussy hat must be very sad. But your daily meltdowns about Trump-Russia election collusion have been the most entertaining to observe. After Robert Mueller was appointed as Special Counsel, you were absolutely convinced it would result in Trump’s arrest and/or impeachment. Some of you insisted that Trump wouldn’t last beyond 2017. You quickly swallowed any chum tossed at you by the Trump-hating media on MSNBC, the New York Times and the Washington Post about who was going down next, or who would flip on the president. For the past year, I have watched you obsess over a rotating cast of characters: Paul Manafort, Donald Trump, Jr., Jared Kushner, Carter Page, Reince Priebus, Jeff Sessions, Michael Flynn, Steve Bannon, Sam Nunberg, and Hope Hicks are just a few of the people you thought would turn on Trump or hasten his political demise. But when those fantasies didn’t come true, you turned to Michael Avenatti and Stormy Daniels for hope and inspiration. It will always be your low point. Well, I think it will be. Each time I believe you’ve hit bottom, you come up with a new baseline. Perhaps defending the unprecedented use of federal power to spy on political foes then lie about it will the next nail in your credibility coffin. The next several weeks will be tough for you. I think Americans will learn some very hard truths about what happened in the previous administration and how we purposely have been misled by powerful leaders and the news media. I wish I could see you as a victim here, but you are not. I know you are smart; you chose to support this insurgency with your eyes wide open. Now, I shall sit back and enjoy your pain.

These sound soooo good! I would use finely grated parm instead of the “cheese powder” though. I think an Italian version of the filling would be good, but I’ll bet there are a lot of options.

Inspired by Russian pirozhki, these “small pies” envelop a savory cheese and beef filling in a pocket of pillowy soft dough enriched with sour cream, butter, and eggs. We love them served hot from the oven as an appetizer, or alongside soup or salad for a more substantial meal. They can also be enjoyed at room temperature for an easy on-the-go snack or quick meal.

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.

A prayer for Justice Kavanaugh and Col. Flynn:

    Prayer to St. Michael

    St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle;
be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
    May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do you, O prince of the heavenly host,
    by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan and the other evil spirits
who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
