Cohen pleads guilty to campaign finance violations

FOX NEWS

Michael Cohen, President Trump’s longtime personal attorney, admitted Tuesday to violating federal campaign finance laws by arranging hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal “at the direction” of then-candidate Trump.

In entering the plea, Cohen did not specifically name the two women or even Trump, recounting instead that he worked with an “unnamed candidate.” But the amounts and the dates all lined up with the payments made to Daniels and McDougal.

In total, Cohen pleaded guilty to five counts of tax evasion, one count of making false statements to a financial institution, one count of willfully causing an unlawful corporate contribution, and one count of making an excessive campaign contribution.

Cohen could have received up to 65 years in prison if convicted of all charges. However, as part of his plea deal, Cohen agreed not to challenge any sentence between 46 and 63 months. The deal does not involve a cooperation agreement with federal prosecutors.

Cohen is set to be sentenced Dec. 12.

Giuliani says it was Donald Trump’s own money, not campaign funds.

Obama’s campaign was fined heavily for real campaign finance violations, but that was no problem, right?

John Edwards used campaign funds for his mistress. Did he go to jail?

Didn’t Cohen say he paid out of his own pocket and Trump paid him back?

So was Cohen forced to make this up?

As Lanny Davis was Cohen’s attorney, and Cohen did a complete 180 on his previous claims and statements, one might rightly draw the conclusion that the “unnamed candidate” from whom Cohen took direction was Clinton.

There is always a silver lining in everything. All things work for the good.
And by george, if this Cohen thing plus the Manafort thing do not motivate Pres Trump and AG Jeff to bring out the big guns and unleash a little fire and fury, then…ah dunno. smh One might be inclined to retreat. Heaven forfend.

President Trump just told his enemies, again, that he is smarter, better educated, and richer than them he just told them again that he always wins, he just told them again that they have been 100% wrong about every prediction that they have made about him.

Think of the oligarchs as termites it is pointless to get just on or 2 or 50 or 100, you have to eradicate them, sure it might feel good to squash a few but the unseen ones are still going to destroy your house. Total eradicate is the only way to stop the rot that is the underbelly of the democrat and republican party.

President Trump understood the depth and width of the depravity of DC before any of us knew that Scott Walker was part of the rot. President Trump is not sending a B team in to destroy the colony he is set for an all out eradication, an all out war is silently being waged.

We can not put a timeframe on this war. We have to look back at all the successes of President Trump. Remember he is a builder, he has been intimately involved in the construction of his buildings, he doesn’t build until he knows everything that he needs to know.

Trump is the quintessential planner. It is innate to him, Trump needs to know what is going on, all the time – about everything, I have 100% confidence in this.

Remember what Alan Dershowitz quoted “the intention of this kind of prosecution is to make witnesses not sing but compose”.

Don’t sweat it, Cohen has made contradictory statements, meh. All of the “evidence” gathered against Cohen is eventually going to be thrown out. All of Cohen’s statements are eventually going to be thrown out. I have confidence in this.

It is not any longer viable for either Manafort or Cohen to bring about a Malicious Prosecution lawsuit as they do not meet one of the criteria under the law.

So what do they have left? Well for Cohen, when the time is right, a fair case can be made for unlawful conduct by the prosecution and certainly fruit of the forbidden tree run rampant.

For Manafort I expect a full presidential pardon.

We have watched the corrupt politicians and MSM put every ounce of their being into becoming our tyrannical overlords, they are going to lose, they still have a lot of people in high places, this in my opinion can not be a time of toppling this one and that one, it is a time for obliteration on a massive scale, for that to happen there has to be thousands of pieces working in unison.

        Time is on our side.

What does Trump value? Family. If anyone thinks that the man we have come to know, the man, The Don, The President of the United States Donald Johnathon Trump, was going to leave his children and grandchildren a world where they would live in the vile filth and stench of tyranny, they have not been paying attention.

  4. Trump is a warlord, who can manage the processes. His “Big Picture” is totally correct, which will make him a leader of a new age.
